Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. But it won't be long before Alex learns the rules of the palace. He chooses a great target. Alex, Sultan Suleyman's first night on the way to attract his attention. Sultan Suleiman's wife Mahidevran just arrived from the palace of Manisa. He is looking forward to seeing his wife.

Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

In the series I think it was because Hurrem challenged the rules of the harem, which the Valide regarded as sacred. It didn't help that she began to become the chief influence on Suleiman, gradually loosening the hold that the Valide had on him. (Mind you this was all created for added drama, of course! Historically, we have no records of squabbles between Hurrem and any dynasty member.)

Eh, I'm iffy on this one. While Gulshah was humiliated it was for something that actually deserved that harsh of a response. Refusing to call one of the sons of a sultan by his proper titles is bad enough. Add in that she's the chief servant of a concubine already in a dangerous position and she could have caused major problems for Mahidevran if her actions were reported. People would immediately assume that Mahidevran had coached her for such things. I feel more sorry for Gulshah later when Mahidevran beats her near to death.

I hate Mahidevrans outfits, they are always dull colours, maybe that shows her attitude in life, and I hate her side parted bun it makes her look old, in the earliert episodes her side parted curls made her look really beautiful.

Hurrem didn’t deserve high rank as she didn’t have manners and her behaviour like teenage kid, Desrespect servants really and show off her gifts and make other jealous that how much power she had. Kosem Sultan never did these kind of childish things that’s why Ahmed love her and she love him selfless and most powerful sultana.

Before hurrem they had a rule one concubine one son so after giving birth that women couldn't go back to the sultan's chamber. But suleyman broke this rule for hurrem. Hurrem was the first women to be freed and married by the sultan. She also stayed with suleyman in the topkapi palace unlike the other woman including valide and who stayed in the old palace. She also stayed in the valide sultan's room despite never being one. She really worked hard for all of that. I know she wasn't the most powerful because she died before she became the valide sultan but she did open the door for others. And I agree about kosem. She is my favorite as well but mahfiruze was way lower than mahidevran.

Kamrun Sultana so true dear my favourite is Kosem too and after that I started to watch this but I don’t like this actor acting I don’t feel connected as Hurrem was irritating actor and whom she is playing both are horrible and dear I read on wiki acc to them Hurrem was power hungry women and she did everything to get that power.. she encouraged sultan to killed his first son so her don can get throne and she would become sultan and everything happened acc to her will but Karma played and she died early.

@@himanshigupta6404 I agree but hurrem was not really responsible for Mustafa's death. It was just a rumour her haters spread to make her look bad. Suleyman was the one who killed him and its still debatable whether he was completely innocent or not but I don't think he deserved to be killed. And if Mustafa had ascended the throne he would have killed all his brothers (there's no evidence that he would'nt) and banished hurrem and her daughter. He was a talented prince yes but he was not as perfect as they portrayed him to be. He didn't really have a close relationship with hurrem's children. She did what she had to do to protect herself and her children. Mustafa in real life actually welcomed the janissaries who rebelled against suleyman and gave them food and money instead of sending them back as suleyman expected to. He also negotiated with the Venetians.
