Prince Solomon, with his closest man, Ibrahim Pargam Ibrahim receives the bad news in a hunt. His father Yavuz Sultan Selim Khan passed away. Prince Suleyman sets out for Istanbul without waiting. Prince Süleyman quickly reaches the capital. He attends the culus ceremony without waiting. His life changed in one day. He started his life as Sultan Süleyman.
Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. Her small smile upon seeing him, her brow rising in amusement before calling out to him, her chuckle upon seeing him standing up when she startles him, her gesture for him to come closer. Let's put something clear. Mahidevran was NEVER a sultana. None of the concubines were until the Haseki title came up with Hurrem. They could be a principal consort (which the Sultan only could have four) and favourites. The only female Sultanas who actually had the title were the Valide (being the first one Hafsa Sultan) and the sisters and daugthers of the Sultan. The firts concubine to recive the Sultana name was Hurrem, but this was only after she married Suleiman and became his lawfull wife, his firts woman, only above the Valide. Haseki made Hurrem more powerfull than the Sultan's sisters, they needed to bown to her after this. After the marriage Hurrem was more powerfull than any other woman in the harem, except for the Valide. You could take the Sultana Haseki as an equivalent of a "Queen", while the other concubines like Mahidevran were mere "consorts"

Sisters never bowed to haseki , otherwise mihrimah would never had high status than nurbanu . They were powerful but they had to respect dynasty daughters. And Suleiman broke the traditions to marry concubine, it was forbidden but they could marry free, Muslim woman , almost every sultan married before Suleiman even more than once , they also had concubines . And they had to follow rule one woman one son . And there are 4 sources about mahidevran origin and 3 of them say that she was married to Suleiman when he was prince . Also in Manisa , amasya and karaman people used to call her valide sultan not because she was mother of heir but because of her contributions , Mustafa is believed to be an only prince who got love and respect by everyone that no one got on whole dynasty and many personalities wrote mahidevran his strength Ayse hafsa sultan was the first woman who got sultan title and same goes for her daughters ( first time sultan title was used with imperial princess for sultan Selim daughters) . Hurrem became haseki as Suleiman broke tradition after his mother's death and married her , and he had more than one son with her . She was the first concubine to marry sultan , but she wasn't first woman to marry .

@@barkaatahmed8137 The sisters of the Sultan could take on the role of Valide Sultan if the position was vacant, for example like Mihrimah did. The position of the Valide was higher than that of the Haseki, so because of this Mihrimah was higher in status than Nurbanu. In normal cases, the Hasekis were ranked above the sisters of the Sultan, but the Mihrimah case was not normal since she was a princess who took on the role of the Valide. Even Hasekis could take on the role of the Valide, like Hurrem did during Suleiman's reign, and that gave them even more power. You are not correct when you say the daughters of the Sultan first got the Sultana title during Suleiman's reign, we clearly have records of princesses being called Sultanas before that, for example the daughters of Sultan Bayezid II (grandfather of Suleiman) all had Sultan as their title, for example Aynisah Sultan.

I love how hafsa used to be so happy after hearing the prosperity of sultanate and happinesses of people used to be happy about suleiman good service to his people unlike kosem who was always jealous of Murat they showed hafsa an enemy to hurrem still she didn't exceed the limit she didn't harm her own blood( hurrem's children) to tease her she didn't fall to such level this love of hafsa for her blood and also hurrem's love for her family makes me feel so good after watching kosem being totally absorbed by greed of power and hurting her own family

When she beat up Hurrem and Suleyman wanted Mahidevran to leave harem, Valide told him that he can't do this because Mahi is Haseki, his wife. She called once or twice alias Haseki. The writers of the show really suck with coming with decision to call Mahi per "Sultana" and "Haseki". I'm so annoy when I'm hearing someone called Mahidevran like this. And never in her life she was a chief of the harem, but in series they also change that xD so dumb

Well, where or when did Mahi get "mad out of jealousy"? 🤣🤣🤣 She was eternally jealous of Hurrem, to begin with, so this occasion wasn't much of an example of her envy compared to her past tantrums. I should think, instead, it was Hurrem who became a little jealous of the other woman and took initiative to do charity works herself, too.

@@nesrinebk2743 in her biography she was not a princess. She was from Circassia or Montenegro and became one of Sulaiman's harem in Manisa whe he was a sehzade sent to his sanjak. Mahidevran was chosen by Valide Hafsa as gift to Sulaiman in his governorship in Manisa. So if she came from Circassia or Montenegro and came to the palace harem, then she is a slave. Valide favored her over Hurrem because of Mustafa the heir to the throne. But not in real life. Valide and Hurrem have a closed relationship as mother and daughter.

Contrary to what is said in the series muslim women could be jawari too. And yes they were all equals. I was just telling the op why mahidevran would feel superior to the other girls. IMO (relating to this series), Hurrem was envious of Mahidevran's charity. She had made a vow that if Suleyman came back alive from his campaign, she would give to charity, particularly to Mecca, the holy land & Hurrem wanted to fulfill the vow. But Valide will only 'support' her provided the head of the religious body gave his permission & Hurrem will need to write to him. Valide knew full well that a slave was not allowed to give charity to the holy land. So she was actually trying to embarrass & make a fool of Hurrem. Mahi, Hatice & Gulfem's facial expression knew what Valide was up to. Poor Hurrem, all the 4 ladies were ganging up against her. It's no wonder she fought back to survive in such a vile place!

In real hystory, of course, none of that happened. :) Mahi couldn`t get the right for charity INSTEAD of or before Hurrem, because she was mere slave, and as they had said before themselves(!), no slave could recieve such right. And since Mahi never got free status, she never could do any charity. So, ALL of this story about Mahi`s charity is fictional. Real Hurrem didn`t have to fight for ANY rights in harem (and in state!), because Suley had already given her EVERY right, both possible and impossible ones for those times :), BEFORE she even could ask. Hurrem`s revolutionary rights for being a statesperson are not even shown in this film! Here she`s mostly portrayed as a hysterical bad-tempered big-haired somebody, who is very apt at playing sly tricks, and desperately trying to keep Suley`s love at all costs, because only that could protect her from "evil everybody". :))) - That`s completely untrue to real hystory, in which Hurrem was MUCH more powerful, reasonable, noble, brilliant and loved by people than it`s shown here... you know, - DRAMA rules here and those, who crave for it, keep watching. :))) So do I. :))) but at least I don`t forget the real hystory...
