These both are tough products. If I want to choose from this one, then I'll go for Ecosport because of its rich exterior and interior look with alloy spare wheel, 200mm of ground clearance more spacious boot and knee room. But this is my opinion and i still love XUV 3OO what they have offered. It depend on its price now offering 7 airbags is phenomenal but 6 airbags in ecosport doesn't make difference. Sorry for long list

Rear space is more important than boot space. GC doesn't effect during offroad. Features wise XUV 300 is far better than echo sports. Echo sports rear space is very less as boot space is extreme while XUV 300 rear space is extreme as boot space is less. But rear space is more important than boot space. 180 mm GC is enough. I have baleno whose GC is 170 mm which is enough even we go to village with baleno which is enough. Interior is far far far better than echosport. XUV 300 NCAP rating is 5 star for adult and 4 star for child. From safety point of view XUV300 is winner. After all XUV300 is winner.

Same here, took test drive of both cars, felt EcoSport feels premium, couldn't tolerate cheap plastics of XUV on the inside. I wonder why no reviewer is mentioning that. Once u drive EcoSport u can't go back to XUV, although deep I feel that I should buy from Indian company, they always let me down.

If you want a petrol automatic(Titanium plus with paddle shifter) or manual(ecoboast) go and buy the Ford ecosport its a sensible choice overall. If you want diesel or diesel automatic decide yourselve between ecosport xuv300 and Tata nexon.... Hands down.

Dear Friends, don't go for the S variant of Ford Ecosport. The low profile tyres 50 size fitted in S variant create lot of jerks in journey through rough roads. I own this S variant just two months back. Now I am planning to dispose the vehicle since it do not render comfortable ride in off roads . But, the other variants including this Thunder Edition have no such problems while in riding in uneven paths. High profile 70 sized tyre is the best matching for Ford Ecosport. Low profile tyre gives smooth ride only in good and even surfaced roads. In Indian conditions we cannot always expect such smooth roads. Remember friends, do not select S variant of Ford Ecosport even though it equips with lot of additional features than all other variants which may attract you much.

you are right.. XUV will suffer once you need to start to give steering inputs though.. I was confident turning ecosport at speeds but XUV felt unwieldy

To all ecosport lovers.. I recently drove ecosport and found that on pressing clutch and steering at same time , steering rod touches my feet. That's bad and no reviewer surprisingly talk about that.

Its normal when you ride it for the first time. Your feet wont touch rod once you are familiar with the vehicle. I had this problem when I started driving ecosport and now my feet dont touch the rod. Just need to get familiar about the position. Cheers!!!

Which itself cause pollution. We need many nuclear reactors to produce sufficient electricity to replace fossil fuels for transportation. Which is very long term aim. Not going to happen anytime soon.

After 2 days RND on both cars xuv 300 is the best bcoz build quality and the interior finishing and space is too good but in eco spirt is not having that much quality

Xuv 300 is safest car of India. It is having 5 star ncap ratings. Ford ecosport ncap testing was done in 2013 and then after it is yet to be tested. So if safety is priority then go for xuv 300.

Ecosport driving dynamics is excellent but xuv300 ride quality comfort is plush. Ecosport initial pickup is superb wtout much turbo lag but in Xuv after turbo kicks in it feels like take off & 3 digits speed is a breeze

Personally, I think the XUV 300 is more of a competitor to the Nexon and Brezza, and not for the Ecosport. Ecosport is significantly better than the XUV 300. Barring a comparison, the XUV is an exceptional vehicle. Good move by Mahindra.

@@Riteshsharma1206 diesel leaves a lot to be desired in fit and finish. Also these are early years of the cars. So I refrain from assuming it to be reliable. Moreover whatever it is, as a cramaker you should Excel in both type of engines I guess.

In mahindra xuv300 there are 7 airbags including the mid variants.. while ford ecosport has 6 airbags in the top Variant and dual airbags in the mid variants.. now i assume that u have the knowledge to come to a conclusion.

@@monboruah6591 this is just on paper sir. Many of my friends have ecosport and unfortunately 2 of them met with an accident at the speed of 90 and 100 kmphr. They just suffered very minor injuries, even not noticeable. This very well says about the safety of ecosport. I know it scored 4 star in crash test. But still the build quality of ecosport is great.

How is Mahindra's after-sale service? I have heard horror stories about it, that's the only reason stopping me from going for XUV300 over ecoSports.

Xuv 300 is best in looks as well as in performance and safety too...so no doubt...xuv 300 is winner in all the way in this segment...

EcoSport is Way Ahead of the competition... 1) Engine Refinement 2) Vehicle Handling 3) NVH EcoSport.was launched 6-7 years back and still Mahindra could not do a proper Benchmark of the vehicle ??? Mahindra should concentrate on these things rather than Power and features !!!

U can actually see the joints welded together in XUV ( in the door panels), I felt it's finish is not upto the mark! I couldn't find any such glitches in EcoSport!

Rear space is more important than boot space. GC doesn't effect during offroad. Features wise XUV 300 is far better than echo sports. Echo sports rear space is very less as boot space is extreme while XUV 300 rear space is extreme as boot space is less. But rear space is more important than boot space. 180 mm GC is enough. I have baleno whose GC is 170 mm which is enough even we go to village with baleno which is enough. Interior is far far far better than echosport. XUV 300 NCAP rating is 5 star for adult and 4 star for child. From safety point of view XUV300 is winner. After all XUV300 is winner.

Xuv 300 is much better than ecosport... It is fully loaded with features.. ecosport अब तक ऐसे feature नहीं दे पाई ।

XUV 300 is good, but it looks like a facelifted version of Vitara Breeza VITARA BREEZA ---- FACELIFTED --- XUV300 Ps: I am not a fan of both brands.

Isn't it an old joke now? Just the shape looks similar, each and every other element looks different. Where tin can slaves have been when tin can suzuki copied honda city and paste it to tin can ciaz, ertiga was shamelessly copied from volvo and interior from vw, swift was copied from f-type. Looks like hypocrisy of tin can bhakts is on another level. They are one who enjoys huge amount of turbo lag in brezza but complains about xuv300

It's shape look like brezza, not the design. It is based on tivoli and xuv300, it clearly looks like tivoli with xuv500 elements.

Why ppl like EcoSport so much?I don't think it's good to spend money on ford cars in India bcoz they are not marketed well here, doesn't have wide customer support net,service is costly and resale value is quite low.. EcoSport is Ford's best selling car but you will still find it hard to spot on roads as it is not locally manufactured entirely in India hence cost increases

I have one ecosport s ecoboost it's just phenomenal xuv has no match with ecosport in terms of performance , ride and handling , looks , and heaviness of doors is just unmatched it's just far better than xuv and also ford is much better brand than these Suzuki or mahindra ecosport to waise bahut tough hai aur shuru se hi badshah Rahi hai
