A car takes time to accustom - the Engine, Piston, Fuel Lines all takes time to lubricate and initial mileage and will be low. It generally takes upto 800 to 1000 kms for your car started to offer a better mileage. While at around 4000 - 5000 kms distance when covered, mileage and performance will be at its best and will stabilize which even gets better on oil change at 7500 - 10,000 kms.

+sibashish behera While there was no AMT at launch, an automatic variant of the Mahindra XUV300 has already been spied. Currently, the new XUV300 comes with a 6-speed manual only. The manufacturer confirmed that an automatic transmission-equipped variant will be introduced later this year and will be offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5-litre diesel engine offered in the XUV300 is the same as what’s offered in the Marazzo MPV which is also expected to get an AMT option but not before 2020. If I am not wrong, you haven't considered the XZ variant of Nexon. One lower variant of XZ+ is XZ which is a lac cheaper but misses out on alloys, fog lamps, rear wiper, DRLs and arm rest, but has 8 speaker music system, 6 inch screen, projector headlamps, rear parking camera. Compare that with Trend model of Ecosport not the XT variant.

The EcoSport is more powerful but has less slightly less torque in comparison with Hyundai Venue. On the other hand, Hyundai Venue claims slightly better fuel efficiency figures. Neither of the two offer an automatic variant with the diesel engine. So we would recommend you to take the test drive of the car to pick the best car which satisfies your needs and requirements. Also. If you are travelling less than 50-60km a day, opt for a petrol car instead of a diesel. With the extra Rs 1-1.50 lakh spent on a diesel purchase, you can actually drive a similar petrol car for as many as two years! A diesel usually makes sense if you are driving above 60/70km a day. So, do your math carefully.

This is the Tata’s best diesel engine till date, and it can very well be considered one of the better diesel engines in the compact car space. The engine makes 260Nm of peak torque at 1500-2700rpm and 110PS of maximum power at 3750rpm. It is responsive even at low rpm. The diesel Nexon is 68kg heavier than the petrol one, and the added weight somewhat results in keeping the cabin slightly more stable when going over a rough patch. Moreover would recommend you to take the test drive of the car so as to judge the ease and comfort offered.

Would definitely prefer to own an ECOSPORTS over Nexon & XUV300. Nexon front entry height is a nuisance it the smallest among the lot by 3" & hence 70-80% head collides with the A to B pillar steep slope.
