I think they wanted more hand to hand combat and close ups, but I actually preferred the more over the top, zoomed out perspective. Sukuna’s casualness throughout the fight makes it seem like Mahoraga stood no chance, but to be very clear: Mahoraga had managed to adapt to both Dismantle and Cleave, to the extent where even the full force of Sukuna’s domain was not enough to overpower its regeneration. Had it not been for Fuga, Sukuna would’ve been unable to kill Mahoraga, and Mahoraga would’ve beaten him through sheer endurance.

Sukuna’s full moveset is still unknown even in the manga, he spent the last 40 chapters fighting the strongest sorcerers in the verse and buried every single one of them but he still hasn’t gone out fully yet. The Fuga thing could be multiple techniques, and although he’s not on the level of Mahito he can do soul manipulation on himself, he can survive the strongest attacks and domains that ever existed, it’s naive to assume he would’ve lost if the fire arrow didn’t work

mahoraga was able to tank sukuna’s domain cause it had already adapted to sukuna’s slashes in general throughout the fight, so sukuna had to use something new and powerful enough to one shot mahoraga before it adapted

To be very clear, Sukuna is not a cursed spirit, nor a Death Painting like Choso and his brothers, and is more similar to the revived sorcerors that were revived by Kenjaku through Cursed Items- though he is unique in that he is the only case where his Cursed Item is not prepared by Kenjaku, as he is the only other person that figured out how to turn himself into a cursed item by himself. Super spoiler from here onwards- but in the latest chapter 257, a detail about Sukuna and his family is revealed, which further reinforces how he used to be human.

Sukuna is indeed not a cursed spirit but a human sorcerer who lived in the Heian era (1000y ago) and later got turned into a cursed object. This era was the golden age of jujustu where sorcerers and cursed spirits were much stronger and dangerous than in the current one. He was regarded as the undisputed King of Curses as the one who've reached the peak of jujutsu

Even if Gojo's ancestor (he was the last person to be born with those two abilities before our Gojo) died in the fight with Megumi's ancestor 400 years ago... it doesn't necessarily mean Mahoraga can defeat Gojo. Nothing implies Gojo clan members born with the Six Eyes + Limitless throughout the ages were all of equal strength (and the same applies to the few folks in the Zenin clan over the centuries born with Ten Shadows by the way). We do know that Satoru Gojo is said to be exceptionally talented. He could easily be the strongest Six Eyes + Limitless user to have ever lived for all we know and I think it is safe to assume he is stronger than his predecessor. But we'll leave it at that to avoid spoilers lol. Just keep watching the show.

Satoru is the strongest limitless and six eyes user in the clan. Mahoraga can’t beat him cuz gojo’s stronger, it’s genuinely that simple. That’s why I said it’s clear you’re not a manga reader, which is completely fine cuz who cares if someone reads the manga or not, but don’t say things that are objectively wrong and make it seem like it’s a fact.

So I'll explain to you what you've witnessed: 1) gojo told megumi about a historical event involving their techniques basically explaining to him how strong it potentially can be, but you need to understand that doesn't mean megumi can become strong enough to beat gojo just that he has a technique that rivals gojo's, remember when gojo fought hanami and jogo he was wiping the floor with them without CT and just pure marital arts and curse energy manipulation, megumi is no where near gojo level there. 2) sukuna got two CT one called dismantle one called cleave, dismantle is what he was using on mahoraga during the fight mainly as it's used against living things with cursed energy while cleave is against inanimate things like some building, and so when he first used his domain expansion he initially thought cleave would do the job against mahoraga since he didnt use it against him before and so it would be the first use of an attack to one shot him before he adapts to it but then thought what if mahoraga didnt adapt to dismantle but instead adapted to slash attacks in general then cleave wouldn't work, then we see that in action as mahoraga was almost finisned with his regeneration and so sukuna uses his other technique the "fuga" fire arrow attack and one shots mahoraga with it before he adapts to it. 3) sukuna domain expansion uses a pact that in exchange for people being able to run out of the domain while typically people are trapped inside with a barrier, his domain gains a tremendous radius of 200 that he limits to 140 this once for megumi's sake and the endless barrage of cleave that he unleashed on mahorage afterwards is basically aimed not just at him but the entire 140 radius slicing it into dust hence we see the area completely decimated afterwards, and then that idiot runs into the domain's radius before it was fully released causing his head being slicing. 4)megumi being in suspended animation was basically him being killed but with the death being only actualised the moment that idiot is also killed and the ritual to submit mahoraga having ended and so sukuna saved megumi's life by not letting mahoraga finish off that idiot and then healing megumi enough so he doenst die once ritual is over. 5) this is not sukuna in full power but sukuna at around 15 fingers only, that mfkr at full strength is a whole other beast, also one more thing is when he bites the blade with a mouth on his neck, remember what gojo said that sukuna's original form is with 4 arms and 2 faces, so this is basically his 2nd mouth that he choose to manifest at the neck since he's not in his original form anyways now. -opinion not a spoiler: based on both of jogo's fight vs gojo and sukuna you can tell gojo is stronger than 15 fingers sukuna, he did it with more ease and due to his technique he was never in a situation of "even sukuna shouldn't come unscathed from this" and then sukuna saying "if it hit me" confirimg that jogo could've seriously damaged him while for gojo he could lay down and take it to the limit of him just walking into hanami with his back turned to jogo a full statement of "there's nothing you can do to stop me" and jogo then releasing his fire giving up on it while in disbelief seeing what he seeing. Now is full strength sukuna stronger than gojo? Only time will tell or maybe we'll never find out😏 keep following jjk and you shall know if we'll ever fine out or not😌

Megumi’s ct is strong but unfortunately for him he won’t get to gojo’s level since mahoraga is the biggest weapon in 10s, whose inferior to gojo as we know. But with maho he would still be top 5 easy

@@farsous10 there's still something unclear about his technique tho, like what happens if he loses all shikigami, there may be some room there for gege to give him some power up but yeah it just wouldn't make sense if he suddenly grows to be as strong as gojo, I feel like none can at this point. Even yuji, just feels like it'd be a solo levelling moment of all getting stagnant since 80% is inherit talent and growing to master it while yuji grows none stop till he overtakes all, would be lame tbh, it'd be better if just the verse gets rid of sukuna and gojo, then megumi+yuji+yuta are top 3 without passing gojo and sukuna, I feel that's a most appropriate ending, I hate asspulls

@@Mudar0314Spoiler: yea, the characters don’t have to be on par or better than gojo for them to be considered strong, they’re all already super strong at this point already and with the recent chapter yuji’s gonna get even stronger. I think gege did a good job with having gojo weaken sukuna enough to the point where the other characters can put up some type of fight, cuz the author knows no one apart from gojo is dealing any significant damage if it was a 1v1, let alone a 1v1 with full health sukuna. I mean the entire cast is trying to fight him and so far they haven’t been doing nowhere near as much as gojo. You can have a great set of cast that are super op and be the next gen without them ever needing to be stronger than sukuna or gojo, cuz that’s some unattainable stuff, I don’t want it to be like Naruto where the alien from another planet gave naruto and sasuke some random power up lol

Gojo can one shot mahoraga and u r right gojo is stronger than sukuna but plot armour is with sukuna and u r just predicting future manga perfectly and both domain expansion are equally strong but sukuma has open domain which gives the edge and full power hollow purple is stronger than fuga in S1 gojo used 25 percent hollow purple and against toji 5 percent

great reaction, you guys are goated. i will say though that mahoraga was only summoned for a ritual, not full tamed like his rabbits or divine dogs. once someone tames mahoraga, its a different story then just fighting the mindless beast solo. but yeah the 10 shadows user summoned mahoraga without taming him and he killed both of them
