The crunchyroll awards only included the first five episodes, the gojo past arc, not the shibuya arc, i know, its incredibly stupid, but thats how they did it, this year jjk might win again everything

Btw according to the manga extras Mahito's transformation had a binding vow that increases toughness in exhange of halting his metamorphosis. That's why he couldn't change his shape during that last scrap with Yuji.

Mahito was an exellent villain, whole concept of him being born from hatred people have towards eachother and transforming humans with touch, as I see it's also a metaphor of hate transforming others in our eyes. He is not going to be missed, the hunt scene was deeply satisfying after all devastation he caused. Seeing transformation in Yuji was both exhiliariating and devastating, seeing him so soulless and cold. I like the shot when Mahito throws stuff at him in desparetian, and Yuji moves the face away looking down at him with contempt starting to look like Sukuna. So scary and sad. VAs for Mahito and Yuji were amazing! RIP Boogie Woogie! Thanks guys, great reaction.

The frame of Yuji looking down on Mahito with the snowy background is a direct parallel of when Sukuna looked down on Jogo with the burning background. This one is unique because it's anime only, but it gives the right idea to bring more parallel between Yuji and Sukuna. It's a great addition.

Unfortunately I think boogie woogie is truly dead. That last clap didn't fully transfigure him, but Mahito's attacks alter the shape of your very soul, and he _did_ make contact. We do have some precedent for some kind of prothesis though, we know they can imbue objects with cursed energy, so I dont see why they couldn't do that with a prosthesis too. Either way, at least he's alive.

Todou doesn’t need his CT to fight. First time they’d introduced him he said he didn’t use his CT in missions. He still has cursed energy but his CT is dead. Non-sorcerers can’t see veils (some can but they don’t have the “Brain structure” to use CE).

Some can cuz the more ce you have the more sensitive you are to the supernatural. Like when that one guy in s1 who left the restaurant, mentions that he’s always had this feeling whenever something will go wrong so he never goes against his gut, that’s just cuz since he has a bit more ce than the average person he can sense curses more

Mahito and his rapid growth is supposed to be a mirror to Yuji and how rapidly he grows because you have to remember for as strong as Yuji is he's only been doing this for about 3 months as well remember throughout this entire part of the fight he is on about 10% and he's still fighting and operating at the level of the middle to high-end first grade sorcerer

(not a spoiler) some crucial character building/connecting moments were altered in the anime mainly gojo and megumi moments that you’re probably gonna wanna check out in case they alter the direction of next season :) no hate to the animators at all but the shibuya progression was a lot smoother in the manga and might be great for any closure you may need (i needed it🥲)
