It really just depends on how you interpret Mahoraga's ability to adapt, if it's comparable to the adaptation of SCP 682 (no-limits adaptation) Chainsaw Man would need to finish him in a few minutes or less, otherwise Mahoraga would not only adapt to being cut by chainsaw as well as any other damage dealing abilities that said Chainsaw Man may have, but he would also match the speed and reaction time, and evolve an ability to kill the devil. If it's not comparable to that example, I'd say Chainsaw Man has enough strength/speed/intelligence to keep stalling until he figures out a way to effectively one-shot Mahoraga. Heres the problem with mahoraga's adaptation, if he adapts to being chainsawed its over. No amount of amps would be enough to overcome the adaptation and CSM would need to use a different method to attack (he adapted to the act of cutting when vsing sukuna not just cleave or dismantle, that's why sukuna was forced to use fire). But more likely than not that's not something maho can adapt to we've only seen him adapt to techniques so far (he didnt adapt to getting punched by a 120% gojo for example)

The only things we've seen him adapt to are techniques and once his adaptation is complete he adapts to the techniques traits on a fundamental level.

Also, I personally think it's important to separate the 2 mahoragas in the anime and manga, tho this is dependant on whether you think the 2 withstood similar DE. Manga maho very quickly started figured out thr technique before getting a DE to the face and adaptating. While anime maho was taking on WAY more punishment and still didn't adapt till he was in the middle of the DE. But anime maho also had alot of small quick time adaptations which provided him versatility, such as his gills or size change. It's just wierd and I think the difference matters in discussion.

The size change is one thing, we also have to take into account that he very quickly regenerated from being slashed. I still think that he loses, but I think it’s not quite as easy as it’s being made To sound. Chainsaw man cut off and eats the discarded parts of him while he’s regenerating, and that does end up weakening him. If not, and those extra pieces don’t do it then it would be a long fight until chainsaw. Man decided to bite him without slashing a piece of him. At least, in the anime, we saw him get ripped to shreds and be fully home again all in the same same clip he gets hit with a bunch of slashes regenerates and then flies from the force of the blow.

In all fairness, wouldnt the conceptual erasure only work on Devils...?? Given that devils are the physical manifestations of fears that humans have about aspects of reality, it wouldnt make sense that if Pochita ate a piece of Mahoraga it would severly weaken him.

Depends on how you see it tbh, cus the concept erasure is just cus devils are literally completely tied to their concepts in the reality of csm, unlike jjk where cursed energy is connecting to humans and then making the curses. So csm could still pull the same thing on mahoraga, it just wouldn't be the very concept of mahoraga being erased, just his body.

The low-ball for CSM is that Pochita ate the nuclear weapons devil, wich is stated by Yoru to be plural, meaning the nuclear weapons Devil should consist atleast of multiple or inummerable nukes like the Gun Devil. The Gun Devil for reference is millions of times the size of a gun and being made of them, due to its level of fear, meaning the same could apply for the Nuke Devil. The Devil should represent the fear of people, sp things like the Tsar Bomba should also be included, wich with its full yield scales to mountain level and ther should be numerous warheads. And Pochita scales to the Primal fears, wich transcend Devils like it anyways. This is mountain to island level due to how many warheads and what kind they porbably are, like the Tsar Bomba. Yoru even confirms this by saying "nuclear wepaons" plural in ch 98. The mid-ball for CSM is that with how Devils mechanics and their fear amps work, is that when a devil has no fear they are as weak as the concept they represent, like with the Chicken Devil itself saying its as weak as a chicken. Devils grow in size and power with fear and consuming the flesh of stronger devils. That also includes the includes the sun/star Devil that Pochita ate, wich resulted in the sky being devoid of stars and that in the calender in ch 71, there is no sunday in it. Meaning it was a star devil that was erased. The base form of devils is as their concept themselves, as seen with every devil like with the Chicken Devil being stated as chicken level. Fear amps allow Devils to grow massive, wich also should include the Star Devil as its mentioned in the same vain as Devils logically equal or above it in fear. The Gun DEvil even with 20% of its body is millions of times the mass of a normal gun. As the Gun Devil completely dwarfs trees that should be 10-20 meters tall when it stood still to shoot Makima. With pure size then Pochita would also have to far surpass FTL to even fight it, or the simple fact Primal Devils transcend even what the star Devil being named as representing "a star and its light that breaks childrens minds". With the sun/star being talked about easily being the size of the sun itself, since its been conceptually erased and Makima says she only still knows of a few Concepts and their exact names slowly fading from her mind. Pochita reacted and moved faster than a light like attack, in the form of the 1000 years spear. The Gun Devils attack was able to hit Makima from 500km away in one seconds, making that a mach 1469+ feat at only 20%, making its actual speed then being mach 7295. Wich is far above the speed mid-balls for JJK, with this Gun Devil being a low-ball cuz its literally stated. The Gun Devil is shown with order of travel and time frames given in the manga to travel from Hawaii to Canada in 0.4 seconds, wich is a 5000km+ distance. Depending on where it lands that would make it mach 30000-80000, wich is a upto nearly a tenth of the speed of light. And thats only travel speed and doesnt include combat speed wich is way higher as showcased with other feats should scale way higher. Pochita also intercepted Makimas 1000 year spear from inches away from Kobeni, wich is portrayed as a beam of light from a star. Makes sense, as Pochita would atleast have to fTl to fTL+ to be able feasibly decimate the sun/star Devil, that Pochita and Primal DEvils should transcend. Gun Devil and Tank Devil arrived to Yoru in like less than a second and Mount Elbrus is loacted about 8000km from Tokyo and Gulf of Mexico about 11.500km. Its actually a low-ball to say about a second, as Pochita is just that fast that it would easily happen in fractions of a second or less. That would mean they traveled at mach 33500 and this is considering the fact that the Gun Devil is only at 20% so its true speed is mach 167500, wich is 19% the speed of light. And putting Pochitas slash at Yoru to an entire second is massive low-ball for the feat, as thats like assuming Pochita is attacking with a slower speed than a normal dude and his saw was inches from her face. And due to fact not even a normal person takes 1 second to move their slash at someones face, it easily scales into FTL speeds or higher as Pochita realistically noly takes fractiosn and fractions of a second. The Aging Devila also preception blitzed or literally froze time at a logically stronger and faster attack from the Gun Godess and Pochita has statements putting him on par with it, when he isnt off-guard. Pochita traveled from Hell to the human realm door in the space of a short conversation, wich in recent chapters is shown that each door holds its own realms/space, with the human world door leading to a universe-sized realms. Wich means these realms can be upto human realm sized and there are innumerable doors so going trough each to reach just one door. The Darkness Devil and other Primal Devils were also able to travel from one corner of another realm to the humans in Hell in a short time, but wasnt able dodge or blitz Makima. This is confirmed by the line by Pingtsi, who has an information gathering ability that the Devils watching them are watching them from remote places in Hell. Also another interpretation of high-balls for the verses, wich also doesnt inlcude the fact the Eternity/Infinity Devil created an infinite realm with its own space-time. It embodies the concept of Eternity and Infinity, as is shown by its true form and infinite 3D being equal to 4D. And the 4th dimension is time, when Eternity is infinite time itself Primal Devils are stated as transcendant to normal Devils, by a character with an information gathering ability. Transcendance quite literally means to be of a higher spatial dimension/higher plane of existence. As normal devils already exist that can be considered 4D by their very nature and their feats that would make Primal Devils 4D-5D. Hell itself can also be scaled higher as just the human realm door contatins a universe-sized realm and there are innumerable doors and Primal devils being stated transcendant in there as a multiversal/5D structure would make them 6D.

@@IkaiOne Makima mentioned a Devil getting its power from the concept of "a star and its light that breaks the minds of children", wich we know is the star/Sun Devil due to "sundays" being missing in the calender in ch 71. Also the weird description of the Devil can easily be explained by the fact that Makima said she is the only one who remebers and that over time even their names have begun to slip from her mind aswell. Shw also described other Devils with ni exact name in the same panel, like Devils representing the 4 other results at the end of a beings lifespan. The Devils she can remeber exact names for are the Nazi, WW2 and Nuclear Weapons Devils as they wouldve appeared about 30-40 years before 1997. We also never see the actual sun, wich Fujimoto always obstructs the view of the celestial body with the horizon in ch 146 or when Angel is blocking the view of the sun in ch 38. We only ever see the light from that light source. And this is only the mid-ball as Devils from every instance have their concept as their base strength and size/appearence when they have no fear amps, like the Chicken Devil or Pochita. In fact, like the Gun Devil they can be millions of times the mass of a single gun with fear amps. So Pochita would have to be FTL+ since he easily beat the Devil and Pochita scales to Primal Devils so hes transcendant to normal Devil like the sun devil.

I'd say a fresh Mahoraga probably loses to the Chainsaw Man *if* Chainsaw man attempts to eat it immediately (Or a piece of it if it would have an effect and you think it wouldn't then cause it to begin to adapt to Chainsaw man's erasure), but if we pull Mahoraga from the end of either of its fight it would have a very good chance at winning. The nearly entirely adapted to and actively already adapting to "slashing attacks" Mahoraga from Shibuya and the "world-cutting cleave" Mahoraga from Shinjuku that could tank multiple Gojo black flashes and keep up with him and Sukuna in melee to an extent may just land the one or two cuts needed to bisect the Chainsaw man/land a positive energy nuke since apparently Sukuna thinks even he'd get one tapped from a blocked blow at 15fingers. I can see Pochita absolutely blitzing and tearing Mahoraga apart, but especially if you use anime feats for Mahoraga it's pretty obscene the type of destruction needed to kill it -- You know the scene, being entirely obliterated/torn apart by MS only to regenerate immediately because the Dharma Chakra wasn't obliterated -- it's just so hard to say they'd be able to actually kill Mahoraga aside from eating it. And if Mahoraga say, gets an arm eaten and then just... adapts to that erasure, then its a gg if it works. Which, I'm not saying "Any and all phenomena" should allow for it but... I mean, Mahoraga did adapt to and neg: an infinite pressure attack, paradoxes in space, slashing attacks in general and infinitely recurring sets of information being forced into its brain. Honestly just depends on how fast Chainsaw man eats Mahoraga entirely. On an unrelated note, I will say Sukuna's domain having only 140 meters of range doesn't mean it's AP matches the scale it has. That is just it's range. Not saying planetary Malevolent shrine is justified at all, that's major wank, but I don't think it's really right to say it's only city level. On a second unrelated note, completely agree Mahoraga probably wouldn't be able to react to Immortality and Reincarnation. Though, most would consider killing Pochita just once a win con (Not that I think it consistently would win)

No it 100% had already adapted, the adaptation was to see and react to dismantle in order to deflect it, but Mahoraga develops multiple different adaptations to improve upon the one he already made, Sukuna said Mahoraga's adaptation doesn't stop, it continuously develops no matter what, the 2nd adaptation to dismantle was resistance, since Sukuna touched him to prevent him from deflecting it, Mahoraga got destroyed by cleaves in shrine because he didnt adapt to specifically slashing attacks, and in those few seconds Mahoraga was in the domain, he developed an adaptation against cleave and started taking little to no damage, so Sukuna had to kill him before he healed. "The only way to defeat Mahoraga, is to slaughter it with a new attack before it can adapt, cleave fits this criteria, however if he adapted to slashing attacks in general and not dismantle, then Mahoraga's regeneration will soon be complete." He doesn't know which one he made the adaptation to, but regardless, you need to weaken Mahoraga and then hit him with something that basically vaporizes him, Fuga and Hollow purple does this@@Revision-Harrowed

I am fully aware of Sukuna's statements, yes, but you appear to be misunderstanding some things: It had developed *an* adaptation, yes. Every instance of it devising an adaptation that provides an immunity to the phenomena, which is the only relevant one in this context, has taken multiple spins of the wheel. Against Sukuna, Yorozu and Limitless void and Infinity/Blue, all those times it has taken several wheel spins across a period of time. Acting as though Mahoraga can instantaneously become immune to damage as you suggest. In story, Gojo himself calls the idea of this absurd when his domain is broken by Mahoraga after it appeared too, adding credence to the idea that it cannot adapt immediate immunity -- As he should be a rather well-informed actor within the narrative. This is obviously supported in story as Mahoraga had only just become immune after four domain clashes: And was unable to be effective before that point. Speaking of which, Gojo also clarifies in his fight what you appear to be getting confused by: The Mahoraga's adaptation is not an instant one and done immunity: But a sliding scale of resistance, as he himself calls out when it takes an abnormally low amount of damage from an instance of Reversal Red. It is not that Mahoraga had not begun becoming immune to slashing attacks in general, it is that he was only *resistant* to the attacks, not outright immune yet. They are, after all, the very same phenomena. This is the same logic behind why Yorozu's creation-based domain was negged despite Mahoraga never being exposed to the True Sphere's infinite pressure, and the same logic behind how adapting to instances of blue -- An expression of the Limitless Technique's ability to bring "infinity" into reality -- allowed for it to bypass the Limitless's infinity barrier as well. Had the Mahoraga not been adapted to the phenomena of a slash in general, the Cleave part of the domain would have been sufficient to annihilate it: Even despite the resistance it still takes immense damage from the attacks its enduring. The point of all this being that the path you suggest; Namely, one bite resulting in the existence erasure being immediately ineffective, is inherently flawed with the pretext of all Mahoraga's fights -- Its adaptation isn't displayed to work how you suggest. It would eventually be able to negate the phenomena, but that is *eventually*, not *immediately*.

I know fully how Mahoraga's ability works, you dont need to re explain it to me, Mahoraga will make an immediate adaptation and then develop to further improve that adaptation, I already said that, Mahoraga used 1 spin to adapt vs the dismantle, a 2nd spin to then develop resistance to which Sukuna stated he can no longer use dismantle and must use another technique, Cleave or the Fire, the rate of adaptation depends on the complexity of the technique, which is already shown in the fight against Gojo, it took 4 wheel spins which occured in a matter of seconds (considering these guys are doing a lot of fighting in such a small window of time) due to how complex infinity and the limitless are to manipulate space on an atomic level, yes Mahoraga had to develop an adaptation to infinite void after 5 domain battles, but his adaptation was halted a couple of times due to Sukuna using DA and therefore stopping it, it most likely would've occurred sooner but Sukuna had to defend himself at some point with DA. Mahoraga vs Yorozu was obviously simple, adapt to her creations to be able to destroy her creations, not even gonna talk about that, what I'm talking about with Pochita is that if the bite is supposed to affect Mahoraga (Because people believe Pochita's erasure works on a non devil) then he will form an adaptation against it to render it either less effective or just nullify it since it's a direct attack to his body, if Sukuna touched Mahoraga with dismantle first and then Mahoraga's wheel spun, it would've adapted to both it's physical effects and be able to see it in a single go, Gojo said that Mahoraga adapted to red extremely fast even though it wasn't even hit directly by red, and was taking barely any damage, granted his output was low, but still Gojo knew Mahoraga was adapting at an insane rate for not even taking the hit initially, and hitting him a 2nd time sped it up to occur faster, so when Denji bites him once, boom, the adaptation begins, bites him again, the adaptation speeds up, so on so on, and this adaptation is already fast as hell @@Revision-Harrowed

I straight up have to disagree with mahoraga NOT adapting in time. EVERY SINGLE TIME we see mahoraga adapt, he adapts in a single spin from a single hit EXCEPT against gojo’s infinity barrier. Unless you want to argue that being slashed by chainsaws is as complex as the limitless technique? If mahoraga is sliced up into 1000 pieces he has insane regen even pre adaptation, and the more slice hits, the more adapted he becomes. Also, your scaling is extremely biased here on the CSM behalf. I actually agree that domain expansion creation feats are not actually feats, however to not scale Mahoraga directly to Gojo & Sukuna when Mahoraga was consistently landing hits on gojo, and gojo even noted that ONLY agito couldnt keep up with the three of them(gojo, sukuna, & mahoraga) should alone scale him WAY above the hikari no CT kashimo that are lightning timers. Meanwhile you scale very vague explosions and bullet timing feats above mahoraga when early nerfed maki is clearly shown a bullet timer. Even toji has shown better blitzing than some of the “blitzing goons” feats you showed. And Mahoraga obviously scales above toji. Lastly, the sword of extermination. 15 finger sukuna said it would 1 shot him if he were a curse. In verse equalization usually people equalize curses and devils, HOWEVER im not sure of how this would work for a hybrid like denji. But its good to take note that a weaker mahoraga summoned by megumi would One-Shot a 15 finger sukuna powered curse. 20 finger sukuna is an order of magnitude if not even more powerful than the megumi that summoned that mahoraga.

let me explain how mahoraga´s adaptation works since no one seems to know. after the gojo vs sukuna fight we see sukuna state that the way sukuna ended up wining is because he used mahoraga like a blueprint, adapting to gojo´s limitless and imitating whatever mahoraga did. after mahoraga first adaptation he changed the essence of his CE to be equal to gojo´s CE thus ignoring infinity, this was something sukuna could not imitate so he waited for the seccond adaptation, in wich mahoraga instead of attacking gojo he attacked the entire space around him to bipass infinity, this was something sukuna could imitate. so thanks to this we know that what the dharma wheel does is learn about the opponent CT and figure out ways to better fight them, then it gives that info to mahoraga. this explains the battle between sukuna and mahoraga in the shibuya incident, since first the sword of extermination was charged with RCT but after seeing that it was useless in sukuna because of sukuna not being a curse, it changed its energy into normal CE for a better match up against sukuna. it also explains why even after having "adapted" to sukuna´s dismantle mahoraga was still taking damage from it since mahoraga had only imitated sukuna´s CE and as we know from the fight between yuta and yuji vs sukuna, he can still take damage from its own CT, thats why mahoraga ended up adapting to slashes in general. so with that said mahoraga´s abilities are: absolute control over its CE. being able to use the CT of his summoner (once tamed by sukuna mahoraga shown to be able to use cleave). control of its body structure, properties and size to a certain degree. now, the abitities of the dharma wheel: progresively gain a better understanding of any phenomena it´s being exposed to. somehow it can inform mahoraga of virtually anything once it spins. it does not seem breakable by conventional means (gojo didn´t target it even though it was clearly exposed during most of the fight). mahoraga´s weaknesses: he cannot change his methods of fighting by himself. he does not seem to be able to be summoned in an unstable mode (sukuna never did it even though it erases the risk of the shikigami dying).

I wouldn't say Makima reacted to the gun devil at all but you could just say shes faster anyway for up scaling. Personally wouldn't use Makima's spear as a light speed feat. And Quanxi's calcs can be used it just depends on what end you think is the most valid. Think Beam moving at mach 180 should be an outlier since Quanxi's highest end caps at Mach 200 and she is clearly way faster. Should be around the hypersonic ranges for scaling above fiends like Quanxi's girls that got supersonic calcs from ManifestedFavour. I'd like to see an Undead Unluck vs vid either on JJK or CSM if you a willing to research it.

There is no power scale in CSM title. It was intentional because the story is not about battles. The concept of power in CSM is a very wide term that can't be calculated by any measures. The match up is stupid for this reason alone. The power of devils in CSM is unlimited. They're not limited by anything and can go all out depending of how much people fear their name. Not Mahoraga, nor even Sukuna are able to deal with something that doesn't have limits for their power and which power is not balanced by CT rules. Devils are not CT users, there is nothing to adapt to for Mahoraga. He and Sukuna would be killed instantly when any character in the vicinity of Chainsaw devil would say "save me, Chainsaw-Man". He would kill Sukuna and Mahoraga by surprise attack and then the summoner who asked to save him will also die. That's how it works.

I personally scale JJK in the Small City levels at best in terms of AP and Durability for the top tiers. In terms of speed I think it is way more consistent with the story and statements by narrator and stuff to have the top tiers in the Hypersonic range but nothing above. So by that logic I personally scale Mahoraga to High End Large Town and Transonic speed. I can agree with lightning levels of speed for JJK but nothing above mach 2,900 as being able to react at those speeds would mean you should be able to land Black Flash at will, something not even Gojo, the faster character by far can do...

Pochita is definetly faster. So if Pochita can somehow cut up mahoraga enough BEFORE mahoraga can adapt, then he wins. Chainsawman is massively hypersonic+ WHILE Mahoraga is supersonic+ in speed. If he moved in the same timeframe he would scale but not way faster because the Mach 4,000 calc doesn't measure the distance the bolt traveled to his arm. Time is directly proportional to distance and since the distance is bigger than the one in that calc the time would also be bigger. Bigger time = slower speed.

Seeing you can not regenerate the head with Jackpot if you're already dead. Plus the distance was not that far. Seeing it was only 6-8ft potentially 12ft of rough estimation away. And hakari had no idea what the move was to. And also kashimo's postive is linked to hakari negative. Made it impossible to dodge other then redirecting it. But seeing hakari only6-12ft away quickly redirected to his arm in the middle of the moment. Means he should scale to this feat and calc. Not just that it is not just normal Lightning/electricity. It is also infused/used with CE which would definitely buff it's speed and power.

This interpretation is more favourable because Hakari just blatantly gets blitzed by the lightning the third time despite it coming at him from a large distance. I'd say the adaption is gonna happen immediately if he doesn't one shot would his teeth work if that adaption occurs because it would adapt to cutting in general and those teeth look like blades, and assuming denji doesn't know about mahoraga i dont see denji winning this fight by immediately eating them alive. I think if denji did start eating while they were alive it would be less beneficial because eating is slower than your entire body being hit by purple do the bites count as individual uses? If so then he may adapt to it in time to save himself.... But pochita spinning back would be a reason for mahoraga to lose

I agree with the verdict that chainsaw man wins, but one issue that kind of popped in my head is basically the anime. When Maha is being chopped up sukuna he heals from the slashes pretty much instant. The issue is that chainsaw man is going to try to slash him, and then eat him slashes are some that he may not become immune to, but he heals from. If you go back and watch the fight, there is virtually no time that he is not fighting a full Shiki even though he slashes him thousands of times this is clear. I love Chainsaw Man, it's my favorite manga, so it pains me to say this but... It's actually unclear if Denji knows about his ability to delete people by eating them. He wasn't present for the conversation where that was learned and it's not clear if Kishibe told Denji he has this power, so while yes deleting his opponent would win him the fight, it's unclear if Denji has the knowledge to choose that as an option and any consumption would likely be an accident and Denji wouldn't know what he was doing if for some reason he did choose to consume him. Additionally when they reincarnate in hell/earth Devil's don't retain their memories of their former lives, so Chainsaw Man wouldn't remember he was in a fight to the death and really one death could be considered a defeat just because at that point it's a New Chainsaw Man and Denji definitely isn't there in the new one anymore either.

Half the calculations for chainsaw man characters rely on the fact fujimoto isn't specific or even attempts to quantify anything in his manga so the fans have to attempt to make sense and calculate all of the unquantified shit he writes without a thought for how it implies shit in his fictional world. Like simply him forgetting the gun devil was far away from makima has CsM stans pretending a bullet can go "mach 1000" fucking ridiculous. Fujimoto says "big number go bam~!" and his fanbase will dissect it and attempt to claim it's somehow a reflection of the fictional power system's validity.
