Great job! I'm not a mechanic but I have been working on my 2004 5x 4.8is. I still have some leaks that need to be fixed. Oil pressure sensor and the alternator bracket seal.

did you not have to hook up the scanner to tell the car you will be disconnecting the 2 motors on top of the valve covers?

is the snap on scanner capable of setting the position for the valvetronic motor

Why u remove all those connections to remove the valve cover

Nope! I did that to repair a leak on a cover that the intake manifold was on the way.
