The very structure of Netflix’s new drama ''Maid'' means it will always threaten to drift into melodrama, the kind of clichéd series that pulls at the heartstrings in a way that feels manipulative, but it always comes back to its realistic, moving center because of two words: Margaret Qualley (Alex Langley).
Maid opens with the sound of breathing. When the camera finally flickers on, we hone in on our protagonist, a wide-eyed young woman called Alex. This not only allows a clearer understanding of Alex’s situation but warrants enough interest to hold on to watch.
This anxiety-inducing opener soon paves way for what’s easily one among Netflix’s best new originals this year. While the story is not without contrivances and a few lately bouts of deus ex machina, it’s easy to seem past that with such a profound message and story.

Worst "recap" ever. No one wants to hear what you think about the show. Ppl came to hear a recap of the plot. Youtub needs to bring back dislike counter so ppl can avoid terrible videos like this one.
