Nice plane, but I was impressed, that the 96,5" model flies with 20 cc! Then I've founded that she is 69,5" :-)

Pete...I figured it out so as both Deano and you can be set for life. Just design a mixture adjustment off a spare thumbwheel channel to tune these petrol engines in flight. Full size aircraft have had mixture tuning forever. Jim

great idea jim, but an extra servo adds more weight, tried back in the 90`s - worked well - pete

I am always on the lookout for your wonderful flights and videos. Thank you very much. I am currently building this H9 P51 and will try my first flight soon. Can you tell me if the nose of this P51 goes up or down when full flap? Your advice will be very helpful for me trying my first flight.

many thanks for watching our videos jingyu, we balanced this model on the recommended forward C of G measurement in the manual and when full flaps are deployed there is no pitch change at all, i think we actually mention it in one of these videos somewhere - have you seen the 3 other videos of this model that we have filmed ? happy landings,

Nice! Would you say the 16x8 is the best prop for scale like flight? I have a seagull chipmunk with the dle20ra on a 17X6 APC and have been having deadsticks, I think due to fuelling but I wonder if a smaller prop would help?
@tbobborap14 жыл бұрын
define scale flying ? these models are generally flown balls out for fun, if you fly these scale then you would be bored shitless within 5 minutes ! the 16x8 is the ideal prop for this engine, throttle response is good and the top RPM his high so what more do you want, if you want less power and slower RPM then go bigger on the prop and bore yourself shitless !

Hi, I’m thinking about buying the hanger 9 p-51d mustang & want to use the dle20 RA engine with rear exhaust & don’t want to much engine hanging outside the cowl. Can you tell me how much hangs out? Would you use this engine in this plane again? Any thoughts about the p-51 artf good or bad? Thanks for your help
@tbobborap13 жыл бұрын
as you can see from the video john - not much sticks out ! make sure you cut out all the cowl underneath the engine where the exhaust sits otherwise the motor will overheat and then tighten up - youve been warned !!!!!!!!!!!

@@tbobborap1 thanks for the info. I am asking the question because I also have an unused laser 150 engine & wondered if it would fit inside the cowl profile even with a large cooling area hole? Any other tips on the plane? Is it any good? Any problems? Thanks for your help

Nice one lads! lovely.. She looked a bit of a handful at the beginning? I have the same model still unbuilt in it's box. I have a Saito FG21 to go in it. Did you find the CG in the build manual was about right or would you recommend a slight tweak? Cheers! great video again! Mike
