It's a Com-Pac Horizon Cat 20, produced by the Com-Pac Yachts division of the Hutchins Company in Clearwater, Florida. It's a development of the Herreshoff America 18.

Aug 13, 2012 was a Monday. Unfortunately it was the 2nd Monday of the month, which is considered in sailing lore to be an unlucky day to start a voyage or launch new a boat.
