That puzzle was really cool! And just as a thought, I think the write meant her comments in the most polite way and she just honestly cared about Hydrox and Ditto so please remember that before thinking bad about her letter she wrote. I have been here since the early Boo training days and I even learned a few new things from LF's story today so I was glad to hear it.

Wise words, Ms. Lucky. Hydrox is a very happy independent feral cat, and has come a long way since we first saw him. I agree that you have your hands full with four cats, and although Ditto is a sweetheart and is letting you nearer, he is in no way ready to be adopted, he's happy being outside as well. Boo is so happy and peaceful when he gets his pets, such the lovebug. :D

Ever since I started watching LF channel, I noticed Hydrox was the cat who was happy being a feral. He has many shelters to use and plenty of food. His friend Ditto also has the same thing too. They both live a great life no need to worry.

I just spent my last 4 night shifts watching Boo getting back from the vet with his shaved leg injury (Day 67 ?? ), and subsequent videos. It was lovely to relive Boo's acceptance of human help and unconditional love. He knows Lady LF has his wellbeing at heart. Bless them all !!

That was a top tier story arc. She also started live streaming Boo's room when he was recuperating in the house. We used to watch Boo sleep on the day bed, or by the window or under the bed.

Thanks so much for this background of your feline family, including and inside and outside cats. I adopted my feral rescue cat a year and a half ago. She was 7 months old and already socialized by the rescue when I adopted her, and she has need such a blessing during the pandemic. I would love to adopt another feral if I could.

That puzzle was really cute.Boo sure enjoyed those pets ,almost thought at one point he was gonna fall off the bed.Sometimes it is good to have a little LF history lesson involving the cat's,their relationships with each other and the process of them coming in ..Sometimes we all in caring what happens to hydrox and ditto can get carried away with it at times with our worry over them...Hydrox more than all has shown his likes to live outside and has been very adept at it.

Some cats will never be inside cats and that's what THEY choose. Hydrox is a very happy cat and I can see that he is happy to share is life with Ditto. This is a great review of the cat’s history for new subscribers. The KZbin algorithm kept suggesting this channel (because of all the cat videos I may have watched) several years ago, sometime before Boo Day #1. Went back then and watched every video. And then Boo Day #1 happened and totally fell in love. The Lady has so many insights on feral cats. It’s been a joy to see her videos. Really nice puzzle and mail time. 💙💙

Maybe it's just a romantic notion of me, thinking that Hydrox designed the whole thing. When LF came to live here he was checking her out what kind of person she was. Later he introduced Stella and Boo to her. He seemed so happy and content with the situation after Boo was securely inside and he could rest assured the family was save and well taken care of. Later he was able to convince Ditto, LF's backyard was a pretty neat place to hang out. Yes, Hydrox is a wise old kitty.

I think you got that exactly right Ben 😻 I have experienced this behavior with a neighborhood feral cat and now have 4 of his offspring living inside with me. He is a very wise cat who loves living the feral life

LF lady, I agree with what you said. I have 4 rescue cats at home yet feed the community stray cats outside. It’s not easy to find homes for feral cats even if they are fostered. Ditto and Hydrox are partners. Cats are very social animals. All the cats are aware of how much you do and appreciate your care.

I socialized 3 feral cats from not coming 10 feet near me to completely social and wanting to be everywhere I was , following me around the yard and watching me while I work in the yard one cat would actually jump on my back if I was bent down and try to get on my shoulders. So it takes a lot of work to socialize cats it’s not a fast process at all

Thank you LF for telling the back story of Hydrox and Ditto some of us know the stories of your cats but more recent subscribers do not. Hydrox always reminds me of Oska as a feral and is around the same age as when I met Oska. I only thought she would remain a yard cat till she walked in and announced she was home. When I first started feeding Oska she needed and asked for help cats should not be eating bird food out of the snow. It takes time to fully gain the confidence of a feral and some adapt well to becoming house cats whilst others the best they accept is to become a yard cat which is still an improvement on being fully feral. Hydrox is happy at the place he is in his life. Good meals and a warm place to sleep make a big difference to his life. Ditto is around more now as well and knew to ask for help to find shelter from all that snow. That could be something the indoor cats have discussed whilst talking to each other by the back door, if you need help just ask. Ditto looks so happy and well rested now he uses a shelter. Just hope that raccoon never returns to disturb the peace in the yard. Watching your two tuxedo cats get Oska's approval from my big old former feral tuxedo to your youngsters they are doing the right thing. All the cats are happy and thriving due to the love they receive. Take care. Love, purrs, cuddles and kisses for all cats

Very well said. I think people may be haven't seen the progression over time to see how the lives of the cats have changed. I think Hydrox comes around more and more than he use to. And he does look after Ditto. They both are doing well seen coming to the Lucky Ferals B n B.

As a person who had the honor of having a feral cat live with us for six years, this needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. Hydrox has lived WELL over twice the life expectancy of a feral cat. Even though he has a stable supply of food, Hydrox still hunts because he is a FERAL cat! His feral instincts take over every situation he encounters. I would gladly have Hydrox or Ditto (only one) live with us, but that isn't what either cat wants. It took six months for our late beloved Avery to come out and look at me for a whole one minute. Does the writer know how much work goes into domesticating a feral cat? I've been watching LF and her journey with the cats from day ten or so. She has NEVER endangered or acted in an irresponsible manner to any of the cats. She even saved a chipmunk from certain death by telling Boo to release it. Yes the chipmunk survived. Also the odds of Hydrox and Ditto being infected with FIV+ are extremely high. In the beginning days LF told us (she didn't have to) that having the cats affected her social life.I could go on and on for quite some time, but I'll stop now.

I would imagine Hydrox has a lengthy list of medical issues. Any vet that looks at him would probably recommend he be humanely euthanized.

hello lf the most people dont really realise how much work you invest and time to make a 10 minuits video! if somebody looks all the videos he realise that you try to treath every cat the same! hydrox is the lonely ranger of your cats, and nobody could change him. he is to old for it! it is allready dificult to have 4 different cat charakters in a house. you ate doing your best, dont worry!

I've alluded to to it before but I'll say it outright....Boo is the coolest and most gorgeous cat ever!! He is SUPER friendly and I can tell he's an "attention hog" who would be quite content to be petted nearly 24/7 if you would do it for him! What a great cat!!! Also, it appears his fur has mostly grown back from his injury site on his hip!

Hydrox will remain a yard cat now but its much better than being a very feral cat. Hydrox has quality food available and a heated shelter for his use thats more than most outdoor cats have and enough to make him a happy cat. Take care. Love, purrs, cuddles and kisses for Sammy

We tried to introduce Carmen to an eight year old barn cat after Avery passed. Within a week I told my wife that barn cat would die soon if we kept her. In the end, she was returned to the barn and was extremely grateful that she was returned to the only place she has ever known. More than a few cats aren't meant to be inside ones.

I think Hydrox & Ditto are BFKs (best friend kitties) for all their lives. I Don t think either cat is depressed or feel neglected. They eat custom home made dinners. Like the inner cats. They have heated shelters that are cleaned.
