I’m thinking of doing what Furball Farm Cat Sanctuary does with their litter boxes 📦. They put them up on tables so they don’t have to bend over to scoop. So much easier 😊

@Alex-wv6co I got a metal long handled scoop from Amazon when I had my spine fused. I also got a metal 12 litre waste paper bin that I line with small trash bags, have it sat next to the litter box so can scoop and dump without much mess…Works really well for anyone like me who can’t bend to scoop 👍🏻

Curious to know what your litter pan scrubbing regimen looks like. I have 2 sets of pans: one in use and the other cleaned and dry. The advantage of having duplicate pans is that I can let the soiled pans dry so that the soiled litter is able to be brushed out. The clean pans are in use while the soiled--> cleaned pans are drying out before/after cleaning.

I have nine litter boxes to scrub. I take the first one outside and empty it into a garbage bag and then spray it down with Dawn power wash. Then I go inside and clean up the area where the litter box was. Sweep it and vacuum it and disinfect it. Then I grab the next litter box and take it outside and dump it into a garbage bag. By now, the previous litter box has soaked with the detergent on it, and I just need to grab the hose and spray it down really good. And give it a quick scrub with a sponge and spray it again. Then I set it in the sun to dry. And spray the second litter box down with the dawn power wash. And I let that sit while I go inside and clean up the area around where that litter box was. And then I just repeat the process with all of the litter boxes. so far, it has been the most efficient way to get them all done.

Oh, you will have needles to deal with. My artificial tree sheds like crazy. But it's not a sign of it drying out or boldness .
