If they get 1 of the top 3 players in next years draft of Cooper Flagg, Boozer, etc, yes. If not then they will be in a perpetual period of losing with this current young team. Not enough defensively and when you have too many young players, they often compete with each other. You have to mix in Veterans with a young core to make them better. When the Celtics added Tatum and Brown, they were not at the bottom. They were still elite and won 53 games with Thomas before them. They added them with veterans in Horford, Smart, Rozier, etc. The Celtics never had to tank in a rebuild. This team here will have to tank to add a real building block with hopes of landing a Cooper Flagg and with Brooklyn adding so many picks to next year with the Knicks trade, they will probably get him.

If the bulls dont have great shooters and shooting in general this yr, then offensive rebounding will b very important. And they got a few guys now that can do that which was a weakness last yr. I wanna see what sanogo can do his reb pct,net rating, & pace in a small sample was really good. The 1 thing about the wash game i will say slightly skewed sanogos stats cuz wizards pace is near the top of the league & also bad shooting from them helped but his advanced stats still are solid in the small sample size we saw. I just wish he had gone up against some of the guys in the league already instead of having to now learn this next upcoming season

So I'll start this by saying I'm pro-youth movement and have been for about 3 years now. Having said that I find it troubling that we're getting "Maybe we can reconcile with Zach" narrative. Now granted this could just be PR spin because the deals aren't out there. I think the lack of trust in the vision from AKME is that they are awful deal makers. I don't think I can recall a front office that's lost so many deals and kept their job.

Can't advocate for a youth movement but turn a nose up to a 23y/o former #2 pick w upside and the kind of size to match today's evolving big man game. James Wiseman is exactly the profile Bulls should be going after on a bargain deal. Give him a fresh slate and create a development plan that allows him to be productive as a p&r rim runner on offense and a rim protector, space eater & rebounder on defense.

That's a way to do it. But the other way is drafting well so you have a solid foundation when when do fidn your star. Lime the Bulls did with Rose. Making a blanket comparison to the way one organization did it there will always be many options of where it was dome the other way
@BallGuy-pm8pz4 ай бұрын
@@ChiBullsCentral I agree but my feeling on that is most of the players that many think will be apart of that roster, will be gone. Imagine the Lakers team if those players had ended up on the Bulls originally and not on a Lakers team that's win now. They basically destroyed the earlier careers of these players because of a lack of player development and patience. Whereas the Celtics had patience but also the veterans to lead the new players. Many of the Lakers may not have been a building block but can you imagine today a backcourt on the Lakers of Caruso, Zo, and Josh Hart, DLO. Forwards like Ingram, Randle, Kuzma. Sixth man like Jordan Clarkson. Centers like Zubac, Bryant, and Nance Jr. This team with 1 or 2 impact veterams added could have destroyed this Celtic team today. As we stand with the Bulls, it's a wait and see on who will be great out of this group if any. Even Josh Giddey, with his success, may not know how to play on a winning team.
