Loved this post about prince Edward! As an American, I’m impressed by Edward, Sophie, Lady Louise and James, Earl of Wessex. They are good people and a big boom to the Royal Family. They more than make up for the whiney, selfish Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who should be totally barred from the Royal Family as they are too destructive and can’t be trusted. King Charles is fortunate to have the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh in the fold.

No HRH prefix, no residence on Crown property, no IPP status, no special 27/7 Security protection for him & family, requirement to give King 28 days notice of visiting the UK to have normal Met Police Royal Protection Officers, cut off from the Civil List, prohibited from ever wearing his military uniform, removal of Military patronages, removal of other RF based patronages...............and there will be more to come. This was such a nice surprise! I love Edward & Sophie! Both of them radiate positive vibes. You can see it in their smiles that match their eyes & when they are listening to whomever it is that is speaking to them, there is zero doubt that they are listening to every word & truly taking it all in. You can't fake a vibe, no matter how good of a an actor/actress you are. They aren't just showing up & shaking some hands for the cameras & bouncing. How do we know this? Because of how little press coverage their working engagements get. When their work brings them more attention than usual, we get a good indication of how they interact with their patronages. They have had a good chunk of their patronages for approx 2 decades, where they've quietly carried on their work for their charities for w/o much fanfare & very little publicity. Unlike those that will only perform charitable deeds if they can publicize them, while looking for an ass pat for each & every one of their charitable acts, whether it be a financial contribution to a cause or showing up to help deliver meals to the elderly, during a global pandemic, it's the Duke & Duchess of Edinburgh that are an accurate depiction of what philanthropy looks like in action.
