I'll be honest, I loved Mario Kart 7 to death when I first got my 3DS. It's still a great game nowadays, don't get me wrong, but the lack of VS. Mode when previous games had it bothers me. It's what keeps me from getting back to it, and why Mario Kart DS is my go-to Mario Kart on my 3DS. In short, no VS. Mode killed the replayability for me.

I like Mario kart 7. It is one of my favorIte mario games I have played. I remember one time playing it one time on a 2ds when I was raceing in the neo bowser city track. That was good times. But I just hope to get my hand on this game soon. It's a good game I want to try out on any 3ds system. (Cuz I don't have one cuz my parents didn't buy it on online or in stores.) Well I am going to hope that I get the game sooner or later.

This was the first game I ever played on my 3DS in 2012, and I still play it present-day more than any of the other 3DS games I have by a very large margin. Even without a versus mode I really enjoy this game, it has some of the best retro tracks, and of course my favorite Rainbow Road in the series! Although I like Mario Kart 8 more, this game will always be my most treasured Mario Kart game since it was the first one I played, and I can expect myself to play this for years to come.

that was originally Super Mario Kart. Every Mario Kart's title theme used a portion of the one from Super Mario Kart (for example, MK64 is a slowed down version of it).

When my sister graduated Middle School, I got a Nintendo 2DS, and had Mario Kart 7 as a surprise since I passed 1st Grade. I used to be obsessed playing with it for around 1-1/2 months. Then I kinda hated playing it after, and wanted Mario Kart 8 because it seemed better. I'm in 5th Grade now and listening to this gives me Nostalgia. I now have Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and when I was in 3rd Grade, my nieces buried my 2DS in a sandbox without me knowing.

As fun as Mario Kart 7 is, the only thing holding it back is its lack of Single Player VS. Mode. It's an amazing game, don't get me wrong, but lacking that mode in its entierty makes the replay value of the game so lackluster once you get 3 Stars on all Cups in Grand Prix. This is why I haven't touched this game ever since. Mario Kart DS is my option to go because of VS. Mode alone.

Don't forget the lack of mission mode, waluigi, and shine runners. (people don't seem to like the lack of dry bones, either) Mario Kart 7 is a good game, but there's not much reason to play it instead of DS or 8 DX.

Hey I just noticed interesting at 0:48! The part at 0:48 turns out to be the Super Mario Kart (1992) main theme, but its a slowed-down version. It can be heard in Double Dash (GCN), DS, Wii, and 7 (3DS). As we hear in the Mario Kart 8/Deluxe title theme, it plays the original pattern of the SMK main theme. I originally thought that the part at 0:48 originally came from Double Dash; in terms of how fast or slow the version is when it originally started. Now that I'm listening to SMK main theme (especially at 0.5x speed) it sounds just like the slow version. Which means that the original main theme was modified with more time listening to the soundtrack. The SMK main theme can also be heard in Mario Kart 64 too, but in its unique version. I like the slowed-down version of the theme better; since I've heard it first in Mario Kart Wii before the original. And sadly, Mario Kart 7 is the last of the Mario Kart series to play this version.

I had a 3DS when i was about 4 or 5, it was an NES style, me and my friend had the time of our lives playing in ours, sadly, the mechanics inside of the charging outlet on it decided to implode itself, haven’t seen it since. I remember that son of a gun game. When I was like 4, I got the original (blue one) and the New Super Mario Bros 2 3DS edition for xmas. When I played it, it was pretty fun till I got older (Age: 16, Date of commented: 3/31/2024) and when I played it again, it's hitting my head hard like a meme metal pipe. It was very nostalgic, and yet, I still have both of them along with THE Improved "New Nintendo 3DS XL", and I gotta say with all of the reviews and those comments on this video, IT'S REALLY UNDERRATED AND UNDERAPPRECIATED!!
