Can Kittens Become Friends Again After 4 Months Apart?

Galileo stayed here temporarily and went back to his new family after about a week. There were never any fights or things like that between the cats, but it did take a few days for them to get used to each other again. Me too.. it broke my heart. It’s almost like they were all mad at him for leaving. But, when Freya and Galileo were touching paws.. that made me cry, I was happy to see that his mom still knows and loves him.

Galileo is a sweetheart and his touching paws with Freya at the end was adorable. He and Ada got right back in typical sibling behavior - a little bit like the “mom, he’s touching me” and reaching out to touch when mom isn’t looking 😂 I love the enclosed balcony so your cats have a big screen Cat TV going 24/7. ❤️😽💖😻

Awwww I felt bad for him at first. He wanted to make friends but it did take the others a bit. He is so beautiful. Even Mom wasn’t sure. When they both put their paws together at the window, it brought tears to my eyes! I am such a sap! :) Loves to all from Alberta,🇨🇦

I felt sadness when Galileo kept trying to reconnect and the others in away ignored him. Then when Freya and Galileo were 1st together she hissed at him and left him ..He is such a sweet heart.... it seemed they were angry with Galileo for leaving.. so sweet at the end when Freya and Galileo were in away holding hands(paws)🥰🥰🥰

I think Ada remembers him and has tried to get along with him from the videos so far. Dexter seems to be cooler with him than Buster, surprisingly. And he seems to be submitting to both of them in this video. So nice to see his paw touch with his mum at the end🤎

Galileo is such a sweet kitty. This is so enjoyable. Very nice that basically they all got along. It's unbelievable how much he looks like his mother. If it wasn't for that splotch of tan on Freya's nose they would be "twinsies". It was so cute the way they were playing "footsie" :) Mama Freya is probably saying "are you my son, Galileo? Or, are you my doppelganger?" Thank you so much for the video. This 1 & the last one have been such a treat ❤

it was nice that they “ put up “ with each other, and there was no fights. Poor Galileo was hissed at by his mom! I never know if they recognize each other by sight, or it is smell ? or a combination. great cats, even uncle buster at first did not feel comfortable with Gaileo, he got up and walked away.it was nice seeing them playing footsie at the end.

aww he's still a big kitten, I hope we can see a later video where they play a bit together, he got a bit of a cold shoulder here (tbh I don't think they 'recognise' him or they are 'mad' because he left and such, but he's surely a foreign element and they're probably a bit confused/cautious, I guess it was the same with Caesar or Baxter). Galileo is really sweet and handsome by the way, and he seems to have a very social temperament, I hope he manages to express that in his new family!

Там, в другом доме, он уже давно единоличный хозяин. Здесь у Галилео довольно неопределённое положение, его задача - установить свой сегодняшний статус, - что он и пытается сделать! I kept wondering, during the first video and this one, if the others were confused because he didn't smell right, after living somewhere else. He clearly felt right at home, but it was sad to see them not feeling that way with him.

It is nice that Galileo gets to visit but somewhat disappointing how he is generally treated by the others. One would hope for more of a "happy" reunion. Although Ada did show a little interest but not much. At least in this video. Buster? He seemed very un-interested & just wanted to get back to his nap. That was so sweet & touching to see Freya & Galileo playing footsie's in the window though. I would really like to know what a trained animal behaviorist would say about all of this? Is he an "only" cat in his real home? It's kind of sad to think that he grew up with siblings & friends then separated to grow up as a solitary individual, then re-associated with family & pals to be separated again. I hope he lives close enough that these visits could be repeated in the future. Ah, well. It is good to see him again & I hope the best for him.

I think that Galileo recognises the other cats and the apartment and everything, because it is exactly the same as when he left. But the other cats see him more as a stranger, much bigger and smells different. So Galileo wants to play and be close to the others, but they are not comfortable with that. It did get a little bit better every day and at the end of his visit he was like one in the group!

Galileo tried so hard, but the others were really unhelpful. Perhaps they considered him an invader in their territory? Cats' memories extend way beyond four months, so it's surprising that his sister Ada was so standoffish. Even his mom Freya took a while to warm up to him.

Yes, Galileo is very different now from when he left, so he is more of a stranger to them. For Galileo, everything is just the same as when he left, so he just wants to be a part of the family right away 🙂
