My great grandfather survived the Battle of Stalingrad. He was shot in the foot and hid among dead bodies in the center of a courtyard. When he left Stalingrad to go back to germany, people would hang on the wings of airplanes when they took off because they were so desperate to get away from the battle. I think this depicted parts of the battle very well, good job.

you should be doing animations and graphics for COD & BF - you'd contribute greatly to them.
@builder39611 жыл бұрын
Problem is that the graphics engines in games (or rather the PCs theyre running on) usually cant handle this amount of detail, and even if, I cant imagine game devs putting this much effort into things, just shiny lens flares and HD textures all over the place, but dare you look too closely, you might see how thinly covered up the lack of effort is.
@aizenps311 жыл бұрын
builder396 well there is always a future, maybe on PS5 or Xbox two
@builder39611 жыл бұрын
The technical aspect, yes, but I can't see big developer brands putting the necessary amount of effort into their games to get such graphics. I can already see BF5 being fine at first glance, but at the same time having thousands of tiny issues like weapons sticking into walls or objects or weird or unrealistic animations (like teleporting to knife someone) and obvious segments in destructible buildings (like BF3 now has) slowly destroying the flawless image the game was supposed to have.
@shrk12811 жыл бұрын
all of that and more, is correct. and that too serves to show the internet, and, much more, the digital space, the cyber universe of sorts', nature, of being a giant organism. it evolves and changes with every byte. what seems state of the art nowadays, like the "next gen" consoles, will be outdated junk in 5-15 years time easy. in fact, 20 years from here,. using the sony PS as a "temporal ruler", we will probably see a gen 6, or even gen 7 or 8, taking the PS 1 as GEN-1, the PS 2 as GEN-2, likewise the PS 3 and 4. as for the errors you mention - i can think of several solutions to those errors in 5 minutes. of course, as my knowledge in the PC extends to using utorrent and applying simple mods to games, and nothing but that, i am no expert in game making; you could use an AI that can locate possible errors in the code for programmers, and for animations "teleporting" players for melee executions for example, you could have a certain "hitbox" in which the executioner activates both an FPS animation for the player himself, and a TPS animation (third person) for the random n00b watching an unaware MOFO gets wasted with a knife to the face. that animation will trigger with the execution and will walk the character from the point where the triggering was done, to the target, and the execute the target. as for guns sticking through walls, you could do what crysis did (though this is probably implemented in other games aside crysis) - have the character bring the gun parallel to the character's torso when it is detected that the gun collides with the wall. if said animation is visible in TPS as well as FPS, all is well in the world. correct me if you find faults in this, but i think companies, both game companies and programming companies in general, are not using the internet enough - the amount of decent programmers and even high end programmers out there is amazing - if you take into account that lets say, half the world is online - that's 3.5 billion people btw - and divide that by 10,000 , assuming only one of 10,000 is a decent level programmer, you still get a ridiculous number of skilled programmers. just think about all the game modes out there for games, or all the indie games done by some random Chinese dude in boo foo fucking china! of course, i could be ridiculously wrong here, but if you ask me, utilizing these people, and also taking into account that a decent number of them are gamers and know what gamers want, i believe game companies could level up their products immensely. but that's just my 50 cents.
@builder39611 жыл бұрын
I agree that some of that may be more or less possible to solve, the technical stuff isnt the issue, the issue is that games tend to be rushed towards release and stuff tends to be either overlooked or not considered important enough. Why make the extra effort of calculating walking animations for uneven ground when you could just take the animation for even ground all the time? Might look awkward if a foot submerges in solid rock, but thats not gonna break the game, is it? So stuff like that rarely ever gets fixed except for a few exceptions which turn out to be excellent games, like Crysis for example.
