I re-watch old Michael Kay videos because I find them so positive and comforting. I have finally booked my first Disney Cruise and give Michael Kay the credit for it. I think he is really getting back into it with all the cruise videos lately.

I think Michael alienated a lot of fans with vaccine-gate and not being open with his viewers. I used to be a fan of his before he moved to Florida where we got to see his love of Disney through the eyes of a tourist and he still had a regular 9-5 job. Once he moved, his videos got stale, his personality got all manic, started to squeal, and he doesn't act his age (he loves doing kids stuff a little too much for comfort). We agree on one thing, Dave Kay is certainly a strange and weird person.

I think a lot of people are really upset with Michael is because he had a scandal within the community I think a bit over a year ago. Basically he went on a cruise when we wasn’t vaccinated but then went to Disney and the parks and was maskless so his viewers assumed he was vaccinated. But then found out he wasn’t vaccinated when they got to the port. And even tried to hide the fact that he wasn’t unvaccinated by going back to his original video and editing it then posting it again.

I recently just watched this one and no idea if you'll read this, but i do think one thing that has changed the parks and peoples experience is nowadays with vloggers and access to a lot more information, people feel the need to fulfill a disney quest. what i mean by that is, when i was a kid going to disney in the 80s/90s, you just went to disneyland for the day and whatever happened happened right? now i think people feel they are obligated to do A-Z and if they dont they feel their vacation is incomplete or theyre inadequate in comparison to others and what they got accomplished in the same amount of time. As a kid all I remember is you'd go to the park and people might ask how it was, but it wasnt this comparison of what you got accomplished in your time, or "why did you leave the disney bubble". I think the increase in access to information in so many platforms has really changed the disney parks experience and even for me, I have to remind myself I'll be back to the parks several times a year so why am I rushing to do things or worrying about others experiences. I just wanted to throw that out there. I love your podcasts and actually prefer listening to these vs watching vlogging. thanks for all you post. :)

Micheal Kay has always been nice to us when we see him in the parks. I have never felt like the Trackers were people I could just say hi to in the parks.

My only issue with the Trackers lately, and I am usually a daily watcher and have been for years, is they have gotten away from their bread and butter of park vlogs where they actually have a park day, and have gone luxury disney. I know watching them they work hard and my views help support them, but I don't need to be reminded constantly that they are living their best life while I work my 8-5 and haven't had a vacation since the yuck started. Gucci, tesla, disney Hawaii, luxury cruise rooms, big suite at the star wars hotel, a nanny, multiple stays at higher end disney hotels last year, lots of cruises, good for them but I don't like to watch that, just feels out of touch sometimes. I skip them and watch normal life because the rest is so out of reach and isn't once a year treat yourself, it's super often. Idk. Luxury Disney is their new brand but it isn't my price point and makes me feel blah watching it

I enjoy the Trackers and say good for them! They obviously managed their money well and I applaud them for it. I have been watching them since 2015 and love how they have grown, and so happy for them that they get to live their best life and personality feel they are inspiring. They both worked hard for many years! This success didn’t happen overnight either. The only bad words I ever read about them are from the vlogging community. When real people post about their run ins with the trackers, the comments are always positive and describe them as super nice people. I get a feeling that they are extremely grateful for what they have and ALWAYS give back to charity. I feel they are still very relatable and I like Tims room, ride, & cruise reviews because he will not bash the company, he explains what bothers him about room, ride, or cruise. Not saying that the company Sucks because they did this or that. He looks at things Very positively. JMO

Michael Kay was one of the first Disney vloggers I watched and really enjoyed his authenticity and enthusiasm. Sadly the move and his brother were the worst things to happen to him for vlog success. Also, when people aren’t open it’s natural to think they are hiding something and Michael seemed to really shut down to fans when he moved. He basically went against his vlog branding when he moved to Florida. He also should have been daily vlogging. I think he may have spent time doing programming for his patrons and ignored the regular vlog, not a patron but not sure. So sad cause I really enjoyed his vlog and wanted him to do well. I think he needs to vlog daily, not have David in vlogs, and go back to Disney and mix it with some home vlogs and live chats (Disneyland and Disney Paris would be great!)👍🏼😁

I’m loving your podcasts. My family had the opportunity to be on the Disney Fantasy with Michael Kay a month ago. It was awesome getting to know him and he is the nicest guy. My kid’s couldn’t believe that Michael knew who they were when he would see us. I did a Jeep tour and made a video of on the same day he did his first excursion. When we saw him that night he asked me how our tour and if I got some good videos. Thanks for your podcast and I’m going to listen to more!

To answer your questions about why the parks are still crowded even though there is so much hate for the "New Disney" is because the general public has no idea. I've had friends go to Disney or Plan trips to Disney recently and I informed them about all that is going on with Bob Chapek, the Increased Prices, Waiting In line issues, etc and they know nothing about any of it. I think sometimes us people with inside knowledge forget that there is a whole population who just goes to Disney because they think they should, or they just always wanted to. And until the failings of Disney reaches the Main-Stream news, the General Population is going to keep filling those parks.

I really enjoys these shows where you dish on whats going on with the disney volggers..id love it work in a weekly show about what they are up to in thier videos...since you obviously watch them all..there is no one i know who watches these videos like i do..so it feels nice to hear others wondering the same things I am...i was also shocked when Dev came out and admitted he was salty he wasnt invited to the starcruiser...entitled much....hahah keep it up

I used to enjoy Michael's videos until his oddities began to mount and became annoying. A grown man obsessed with "merch", constantly using the terms "super", "special", and "I love it", rolling around with his brother on the floor for cruise picture poses.......I mean in some ways I have to hand it to him: he truly believes he's still 12 years old. The number one reason I find him annoying however is that Michael, unlike other vloggers, gives off the vibe that he has created something (WDW) and is sharing it with you as his gift. Dude, you're walking around with a video camera giving us "content" of something dreamed/designed/built and maintained by SOMEONE ELSE....you do realize this, right?

The parks are more crowded now than ever because of the boom of millennials (no hate here, I’m one too!) who go either childless or with kids either way they’re living out either missed opportunity dreams or just trying the old American “give my kids better than I had, as best I can” mindset! Also, in the age of the internet and influencers, the parks have become a status symbol- everyone can see their friends’ families on vacation and there’s vlogs and podcasts and news outlets that are 24/7 Disney parks, it makes it more accessible to the general public to be intrigued and get to go- check one for Disney marketing! As for Michael Kay… I agree that we shouldn’t probably care so much about his personal life. I think the reason most of his precious fans turned haters are scorned is because he’s been caught lying about so many things that even though he’s a “nice guy,” the more his fans watch him get caught sensoring or lying (about his house and apartment included) the more they come to distrust him. For some, I think they had faith that he was “just like us” as you said he’s just a person, who cares about wealth- but he had proven to be up to not-so-good things, lies, scandals, etc. again, is it our business things like how much his house costs or whether he has a job or not outside KZbin? Nah. But I think what tends to happen is similar to celebrities people tend to identify closely with someone like Michael and they have their heart broken when they prove to be just that- an actual person with flaws, because of the perceived and romanticized “can do no wrong, king” sort of pedestal they ended up putting him on. The more he gets caught doing nefarious or otherwise “non-magical” things, the more people are going to judge and change their views. Once burned type of thing- more and more dumb but still imperfect things makes his overall character seem skeevy, maybe even conning some people or scamming in some way. Just my opinion- personally, I don’t understand people getting so involved in something that literally doesn’t affect an ounce of their life beyond irritating them at their own accord…

I agree with you 100% about Michael Kay. I greatly enjoy his vlogs and look forward to watching his new vlogs while he seems re-newed in his Disney fandom. I have an opinion about the Star Wars Galactic Star Cruiser; Disney built his parks on the theory of repeat family business. I don't see a family repeating this expensive experience more than once, where as the parks can be experienced over/over with new memories.

PCDev and Michael Kay were both not invited to preview the Galactic Starcruiser for a reason. PCDev was arrested in late 2021 and Michael Kay had the whole controversy with lying about the Covid procedures on the Disney Cruise Line. Many people reached out to Disney to inform them of what happened with both men to the point that Disney could not ignore it.

I used to really enjoy Michael’s vlogs. I do agree with whoever said that his reviews of everything are almost always positive. He’s either trying to do everything he can to stay in disneys good graces or else he’s the most positive and easily pleased person on the planet. Every time Disney makes a crap move he always seemed to find a way to almost defend it. “That’s ok. Disney is always changing. Walt always said it would constantly be changing”. Bologna. If it’s crap call it crap. When the whole Disney community is upset about something then it’s probably justified for the most part so don’t defend it. I did notice he was becoming very disheveled looking and seemed like his heart wasn’t in it for awhile so I unsubscribed. Perhaps I will resubscribe and see if he is back to his old self and if I want to start watching again.

If I like a vlogger or the topic I watch it. If not I don't. Simple. More people need to do that. I came across entire forums with pages and pages dedicated to Disney vloggers and people digging up dirt and personal records about them, even going as far as to dig up public records from courts and business records just to tear them down. Give it a rest people, if you don't like them then don't watch them. I noticed the vaccination-gate stuff in Michael Kays videos. Didn't like it so I stopped watching for a while. Checked recently and he seems to be getting back to his old self so I've started watching again.

So WDW has been there for 50 years and we did fine without Vloggers over running the parks, talking all through rides and now taking reservations from guests because they have to go EVERYDAY! Some like the Trackers have becomeSO rich on it that they now just stay in the best places that most can’t afford, huge suites on Cruises and even a NAnny to raise their son. They are so rich on it now they just show home Vlogs when they aren’t in hotels or $$$$$Cruises🤪

The Park crowds give Disney the opportunity to use increased pricing to control…..but not sure what the ceiling on that would need to be to slow down the crowds…..people used to save to go to Disney, in today’s instant gratification world….people just add it to their debt and move on

I when I first found PC, I thought he was cool and super positive. But then he started his dislike of Figment, like who doesn't like Figment, I mean really? Then he told this old guy wearing overalls that he liked his "Make American Great Again" hat, but then snickered and said "I really don't like that hat." I could care less what he thinks about Trump, but that was out of line. Sorry, that was it for me. I like Michael Kay fine. I agree, he's better without his brother. I like the Trackers, they do a great job of informing viewers. And my favorite isssss, Adam The Woo. Great variety. I do miss him at the parks, but it works for me. Glad he's "peppering in" more Disney though. I thought he would miss it. I do like David of Fresh baked, although he's a bit of a Disneyland snob. I get it though. I like most the rest, Jackie, Super Enthused, Justin Scarred and Best Life and Beyond who prove you can grow up at Disneyland and not be a snob about it. But, that's me...

There is a KZbin channel that very effectively skewers Michael with creative edits of his videos/soundbites, and points out certain hypocrisies, whether they're warranted or not. They also make fun of a bunch of other park vloggers, but mostly Michael and Dave. I won't mention the name of the channel because it's often very vicious and negative and overall more bad than good (even though it can sometimes be funny and creatively edited). I think Michael even mentioned this channel once in one of his videos, and kind of laughed it off and appreciated the attention they were giving him, but it probably hurts him subconsciously. I think the small minority that watch that channel are probably the ones making the most noise against Michael.
