Michael Kay use to have his Mother, Father, sister, and his brother Dave in his vlogs sometimes. He lived in Maryland had a government job before he moved to Florida. Michael loves Disney and vlogging his visits to Disney was his Dream come true. Seems so much has changed since Covid hit and changed how people vlog anymore. Miss Michael’s vlogs.

Michael Kay was the first vlogger I started watching! I loved his channel so much when he did not live in Orlando. He planned and did trips they way I would do trips. I still enjoyed him after he moved until he started doing non Disney stuff. I want success for him! I hope he is happily engaged and has a happy future. I did see him at Epcot back in February this year. He was with a girl and a boy. They were getting a photo and I waited to speak but as they walked away he took the girl’s hand. I was shocked and happy for him but I did not speak and he was not vlogging that day. I miss his videos even the cringy parts!

Mr. Morrow's New Year's 2020 video is one of the all-time great heartfelt vlogs. He goes shopping for a spirit jersey (his first) at Epcot and in the parking lot just opens up and talks about how happy he is 2019 is over. You could really feel his happiness and relief in moving on, even though his channel had not found the mainstream success it has now - it was on its way.

I started watching Michael when he was in Maryland. His videos were informative and helped me plan my trips to WDW too. When he moved to florida I was happy for him because that was his dream. When he started having Dave with him almost every vlog I cut down on my viewing and then finally quit watching all together. I felt like his channel was becoming just a place to get Dave an opportunity to build his channel. It was no longer solely Michael’s channel.

He did not share much on Patreon but did say he has a family member with serious health issue he’s been helping and this has disrupted the video schedule. He gave a vague explanation of the “rebranding” and took a poll to select the new name. We’ve watched him since he was just starting in MD and met him in the park a few times. He seems so nice and I wish the best to him.

Thank you for the update I have followed Michael since he was on Facebook and was one if his first KZbin subscribers. I think of him often and have messaged him a few times, we used to chat often. What was missed here is his dad came to Florida with him, then his dad had an extended stay in Florida which was odd because his mom was still in Maryland. After that announcement minis a few random comments about his dad he went silent on all family matter which was odd when for years his family was such a big part of his channel. His first cruise was a family trip. I really wish he would do some kind of update.

Through the satire videos I got to appreciate Michael Kay for being a living meme a squealing bobble head train wreck and freak show barreling through Disney World like the Tasmanian Devil. His channel died when he moved and started to monetize his daily Disney adventures with Patreon, which created the weird "Kaykateers" cult group of lonely depressed women that started to idolize Michael and attack anyone that disagreed with his videos which probably inflated his ego too much. Also, his thing about keeping everything private about life updates/changes with KZbin followers didn't help either. While you don't have to share intimate personal details about your life, you at least owe it to your followers to be honest and truthful about things. While Dave is a weirdo, I think Michael sunk his own channel by himself. Also, most of the "rumors" you hear on the gossip sites seem to be true as posters have shown evidence that he did indeed buy a house (assessors property info which is public record) as well as video evidence of Michael holding hands with this mystery girlfriend/new wife and instagram postings. I think I trust this information more than what Michael tells us to be honest.

As soon as he moved to Florida he got a big head, thought he was the shit, and acted like he was born there. He is not a floridian. He lost his passion and things got weird. He used to have his subscriber count listed. In a few years he went from 20k to 50k. Then 2020 hit and his pitiful videos he was releasing to only gain maybe another 10k more, he realized this and had to fix it but there is not fixing. He is a weird guy and I think he really thought he was much better than what he really was/is. I don't see his channel surviving.

@@ericcase2057 sorry it’s been like a month since you’ve asked but I kinda have an answer. no one knows for sure what actually happened but it’s public record (this is all confirmed by court documents) that’s he tried to get a restraining order against his dad like a week or two after his move to Florida due to a “domestic situation”. As far as I’m aware it was denied but the rumor is his dad was upset that he gave up his DC job (that apparently his grandmother got for him) to move to Florida for Disney. Idk what that domestic situation was but that’s all that’s in the public court records 🤷🏼‍♀️ also explains why his dad was down there helping with the move and he never mentioned him again he just kinda disappeared and started deleting comments asking what happened to his dad and if he went back home.

I’m not the biggest Michael Kay fan but I’m not surprised this happened. He’s a very polarizing vlogger. Either people love him or hate him. He spent the last couple years deleting negative comments and surrounding himself with people who only told him how great he was which didn’t help his channel. I get that a lot of the negativity was really bad, personal attacks rather than constructive criticism of the channel. But he seems like an all or nothing person. So anything slightly critical about the channel, he lumped into the personal attacks and ignored them. To me that was the downfall of his channel. Instead of looking at the constructive criticism and seeing what was valid and making small changes to the channel until he started seeing growth again, he just went in the complete opposite direction. If his videos are going to be like the last 2, I think he’s going to see his followers drop off and he’s not going to gain those who’ve attacked him and his channel because they don’t like him and we’re never going to watch anyway. I think if he went back to his mix style of news/tips and not daily vlogs from the start of his channel (but tone down the squealing/ obnoxiousness and not be in the video frame so much), expand to other traveling (and not compare everything to Disney) would have been a better plan.

I met Michael and his brother in July, 2022, at the Grand Floridian. He introduced me to his girlfriend at the time who was with them. So, if he is engaged, it has happened since then. But they were all very kind, I hope he is happy!

After reading comments here it seems his patrons knew it was happening. Fact is that the majority of us are not patrons which leads to being blindsided. We all knew something was up with the lack of content but I didn't see this coming at all. I miss "fun" Michael. Even when he was just hanging at a resort and giving his thoughts and feelings about Disney I found it interesting. It's so weird that he's not showing himself at all now. Will there be vlogs or just informational videos? Will we ever hear his thoughts on Iger being back? I started out liking Michael and as many have said the move to FL was the beginning of the end. But then you start finding out “things” about him that are unexpected. I’ll give you a few: Daddy Kay was prominently featured in many videos until he wasn’t. Michael filed an unsuccessful restraining order against him and since then nothing about pops. And then….I found out that both of his MD parents lost the license to practice medicine. And then….I found out board certified ophthalmologist daddy was practicing psychiatry. And then….I found out daddy K has been to court more than 50 times for civil, criminal and domestic violence….he even sued family members….you can’t make this up. And then….I found out his parents are actually grifters. They start these self help companies that are nothing more than shams. And then….I found out that Michael doesn’t live in an apartment but a big house in Windermere. And then….I found out that Michael is an abusive narcissist from his former girlfriend. She provided receipts beyond doubt. And then….I found out that Michael has an overweight harem of “Kaykateers” that send him money and gifts. And then…..I found out that….that Michael abuses the Disney disability system. And then…. I found out that….you get the picture this is some cra cra. These so called rumors about Michael are fact. On small Side tangent, I love your videos it’s very different format of videos in the Disney community Michael Kay was my favorite Disney Vlogger from 2016-2020. In my opinion he was at his peak while he was in Maryland while in process of moving down here. His channel died because: 1. During the summer of 2020 he wore a Blue Lives Matter Mickey shirt in a video at Disney. After he told everybody on Twitter he doesn’t like to get political. Since then he got ran off Twitter and only has posted there a few times in nearly 2 years.This happened while we were ramping up to the very polarizing 2020 election 2. His brother Dave Kay 3. The Quality of his content went down. He had by far the best well edited videos in the Disney community maybe only second to Mickey Views when he lived In Maryland. 4. He failed to diversify his content early on in 2019 when he moved down here. I never got why he never branched out to universal. There is really only one big channel that covers Universal Studios Florida daily in Orlando that is Alicia Stella From Theme Park Stop and Rix Flix. There is literally nobody that covers universal like that.

Then he moved to Florida and like you said - he OD’d on Disney and just got very strange. Almost too excited about things. He would squeal like a little girl with excitement. Just very odd. As he got weirder I faded from him. I also think he fell victim to the internet trolls. I think you need to have super tough skin to be in the public eye because humans will be humans. After he moved and overdosed on Disney I started to really think him and Dave would be on a video with Chris Hansen to catch a predator. Seriously him and Dave freaking out about getting to go on a children's cruise ship was when I was like yea I'm all set with two dudes with no girlfriends or boyfriends or kids on a boat full of kids running around with a camera. Then what was he thinking when him and Dave went to the teens only club on the ship to play guitar hero when they were at port. But someone brought this to view he won't leave the shop because he can not use those kind generous gift cards but he can use them at castaway key. Even Mikey's ex girlfriend said on guru gossip aka the DC Darling that Mikey started the channel so he could have complete suckers pay for his Disney addiction. All his bullshit lies caught up to him like when allegedly when he got to go up into the dvc lounge at Epcot and said he's never been up their when indeed his ex girlfriend brought him up their years before. His mother should have reeled his ass in and said grow up stop filming kids without permission I'm shocked no parents have called the cops to really see what's in his B-roll. Sorry but if I'm at a hotel that's 500 a night and this dip shit sneaks into the resort with no kid or significant other yea security would be called. I was also a big fan of Michael before the move. But after that his true colors seemed to show, and finding out all the shady past about him and his family just turned me completely off. I don't care that someone moves into a nice home but it just seemed so shady how he continued to make it seem like he and his brother were living in a modest apartment when in reality they were only there for a couple of months. I completely believe he kept this from his fans so the Patreon and gift card money would keep flowing. I love Nate aka Paging Mr. Morrow's videos as he goes into WDW and hangs out there. Adam the Woo has travelled the country as he goes to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. If you wanna see the Disneyland prospective see Provost Park Pass as Chris, and Amanda live in Utah and they travel frequently to Anaheim and they also come to Orlando as well. Michael Kay's KZbin channel has fallen to the wayside.

Michael Kay is one of the original vloggers I started following years ago. He is actually the reason my son is interested in vlogging. I agree with you that once he moved to Florida the quality of his videos went down drastically. The reason(s)? God knows, it could be a combination of many things, but the videos he used to make in his little studio back in Maryland, combined with the sporadic trips to Disney were so entertaining and authentic. But maybe the reason he is re-branding is due to the fact that many people are tired of Disney's antics. Including myself. Listen, I am Michael minus the KZbin channel when it comes to Disney loyalty and love. My children, who are adults/late teenagers, have been going to WDW, multiple times a year, since before they were born. We are DVC members, AP holders, D23 members, the works. But I am tired of being disrespected by Disney, with the prices, the reduction of perks, the woke BS and the political nonsense, etc. So we started diversifying our vacation time as well, and we started cruising. And I am so happy about our decision. Now, for us, Disney is a complement of our cruising vacations, not the center of our time off. Perhaps Micheal is burned, due to what many people are feeling towards Disney. Perhaps it is the clowns on KZbin and social media, insulting him and his family (you can like or dislike the guy, but he has never offended anyone to be treated like that). I hope he comes out explaining his re-branding decision, but I agree with him keeping his personal like private, it is none of our business.

It’s funny because I live in the city in Maryland where Michael K is from and started watching him because like him I a “Disney adult”. I never saw him here in Maryland, but did see him a couple of times in the parks and he was nice\odd . I do he doesn’t “owe” anyone anything but when you have a following, and explanation is due. I think he should've just shut down the channel instead of the rebranding. He obviously doesn't have the time or passion to vlog anymore, so why not enjoy the extra time with your family & fiancé instead. I had been a long time viewer, but was shadow banned/deleted after just making a comment about his video title having included a subject that wasn't actually in the video. Thought he didn't see the mistake before publishing. Thought I was helping. He tends to have a lot of typos. It was not a critical comment. Nothing mean. That sealed the deal for me to move on from his channel.

I quit watching him after a year of him moving to Florida. All his vlogs were basically him eating, him showing merch, getting others to pay for extras for him, only riding people mover. Hi back and watch his videos. This got boring. Disney food is not meant to be eaten every day.

I used to enjoy his videos even though he could be a bit much but he seemed to be such a narcissist it was cringey! I have a feeling he was not someone that was open to constructive criticism and would not listen to people to tell him “hey pull back a bit”, “no one wants to see you bathe”, “you’re not a 9 yr old little girl”, “please stop focusing on your big head”, “tone down the squealing”. You failed to mention or possibly realize another reason for the low park attendance over the Christmas weekend was the terrible storms up north and the airline debacle. Plus it was freezing cold down here. Notice how once travel was back to normal the parks were absolutely packed. I hate the excuse of because of the woke attitude. My thoughts thanks 🤓

Never heard of him and I thought I knew all of the major Disney vloggers. But I don't watch as much as I used to, since I have not been pleased with Disney choices for awhile (except the joy in firing Chapek). From the sounds of it, no need to check him out. If he can't even do his own content, I'm not interested. Plus he sounds rude to transition without telling viewers. As for privacy, I think what you put out is what you put back. I love PC Dev (have since he was Prince Charming lol). I recall he once was so genuinely sad that viewers sent him drinks at the Grand Floridian and didn't stop by to say hi. When you put out respect and are welcoming, I truly believe you get it back. One VERY popular one, I won't mention, always blows off people and looks annoyed when folks say hi. I also think if they are vlogging in the parks, a simple wav or shout out goes a long way, whereas if they are out in the real world, leave them be. But I think most folks won't connect to them outside the parks.

It's true I saw this happen. He posted a cruise video when they first opened. The cruise then had a policy where if you were vaccinated you got a "golden" ticket to get right on. I know this because I was on a cruise the next week. He had his viewers believe he was vaccinated with all his throwing masks away vlogs. People saw that happened and immediately called him out. Hundreds of posts about it were deleted and he edited the video like an hour later.

Seems like his channel hit the skids right after his brother entered the picture and then fell off the rails around the pandemic. I wonder if something was thrown off behind the scenes in terms of the Google algo dinging his channel halting its promotion in the theme park/vacation realm. One thing I noticed over year or so ago is that his dislikes to total views was extremely high. (Like by 100's of x's compared to Nate and Jackie who basically were on all systems go for growth.) And his likes to total views were unusually low for the amount of views. (Inflated views?) If his account was dinged the channel may never grow no matter what the content is and might be best to start a new channel not just rename the current. Great idea to make an announcement explaining his plans to his fans. And ask for likes Michael!

I think one issue, though certainly not the only issue, Michael Kay may not have realized was that in the beginning his channel provided both informative and entertaining content especially when it came to DCL. My family had never been on a cruise before, and by watching his content we decided it was worth giving a cruise a try. However, as he branched out into “travel” he lost his expertise and experience and his content became dull with no informative value. I do not think he realized than when it comes to “travel” content there are a lot of other channels out there being created by professionals within these industries who have more experience and expertise than he has, so he really had nothing to offer. If he would return more to focusing on Disney/Disney Cruise content where he has both experience and expertise he may find his channel rebuild. I would say to MK - do not offer me content about traveling to Europe, i have been there over 100x I know it better than you do, return to offering my content about how to enjoy my next Disney cruise and what experiences are onboard the ship.

Looking at both Michael Kay and WDW Couple videos. Both tried to rebrand, both failed. Both get barely any views on the majority of their vlogs. WDW couple had one video with 60k, but for the most part, only get a couple thousand views for most videos. These two were the originals and they have fallen so far.

I enjoyed his videos more when he didn’t live in Florida. They were way more exciting. I always thought he was a little over the top with his excitement level, but I think that is just his personality. I don’t really like his content anymore, but I am also not rooting for him to fail. I was going through some of the comments on his recent videos today. They’re not a lot of positive comments on there. Mostly people saying they miss the old style videos. Here is what I think- he isn’t showing himself as he is now going with his significant other and he/she doesn’t want to be seen - watch his recent rodeo restaurant video - he is with someone who tries to take his dessert - think the journey together name is to include his significant other in the title without showing them and it’s a name that includes them as part of his channel
