One of the biggest take aways was the story about the wrinkled shirt worker and how if there's an issue, that it's best to address is right away rather than allow resentment to build up. Also an important thing is to understand that when someone is being direct with you, it is not an attack even if it feels that way. I've grown up with being on the defensive mode as a way of arguing my own points so when someone would try and give me feedback it felt like I was in trouble or always wrong. I'm trying to now correct those thoughts and feelings with future interactions because like you guys have stated, communication is key but communication is also one of the hardest things to do "properly" when each of us has a different way of thinking.
