Its been a while, but how often do you need to brush your shoes? Im still learning about the maintaining of bowling shoes and shammies

I do maintenance on my shoes when they need it but it’s all on how they feel when you are sliding

Excellent advice with a wire brush. Thank you! Question I seen someone use a lighter to their pad to rid of a sticky substance. He had no complaints I noticed. But was wondering if using flames recommended if you stepped in something sticky?

That I could not give a answer to I personally never seen that before but not saying that it hasn’t been done so I can’t say if that would work or not I would love to give you a answer but I don’t want to give you the wrong answer idk if there is something out there in KZbin land that may have something like that about it or not

What about the heels? Possible they can cause sticking?

If you have Interchangeable souls they have a felt heel pad you can put on and that would allow you to slide more

@@twohandedbeast No interchangeable at all. I just bowled yesterday fearing for my life essentially. Every time I went up to throw any attempt to slide I was sticking terribly. I was going to go to the bowling shop tomorrow to get a shoe brush and powder.

I know I have problems with sticking in the summer time I think it has to do with the humility winter leagues I don’t have any problems but a shoe brush will help with easy slide and shoe shock for sure to keep your felt clean and dry
