I also found on my CR-V that the drains at the bottom of the door were blocked with dirt/mud from the factory rubber drain pieces. I removed all 3 on each door. I still need to wash out the dirt but it is winter now.

You remove the inside trim. Pry from the top. Remove the 8 mm nuts and one Philip screw. Would help to have another person hold the mirror or tie a towel around it and let hang. Move it around as needed.

This video is for a model later than 2011, for a 2001 - 2010, there are screws on the inside of the door, at rear of the front windows, and to the front of the rear windows, one of them is hidden under the rubber weather strip.. I don't think you need to remove the mirrors for these models. They have plastic main clips that cling to the door, if you can get the molding off without the clip, slide the main clip forward or backwards and there is a break to allow removing the clip. Otherwise use a small screw driver on the inside to remove the little clips at the front and rear of the main clip.

I found a Chinese copy of all 4 pieces at eBay for about $70. Just installing them and will be curious on their longevity.

Did they fit right? I wouldnt expect them to last, but im sure there are ways to take care of it to last longer. Let me know how it goes and if there are any keywords to find it by.

@@lordwrath9621 They fit well, look like OEM and the windows function as before. The only nit is the ends of the rubber wipers that contact the window have a very small gap. This is still much better than the crumbling OEM ones though. Since they were only installed last night, the rubber may need to relax a bit. Time will tell. The eBay seller is " air_rocket" who has decent feedback. There are other sellers with what looks like the exact same item. I believe my search was something like "window belt weatherstrip CR-V 2008". Before I forget, 2 had the clear protective peel off plastic on the chrome and the other 2 had what looked like no chrome. It was just black peel off rubber instead of the clear plastic though. The side mirrors have to be removed but that's easy by just popping off the interior panel and removing 3 nuts. I just carefully let them hang and didn't pop off the inside door panel to disconnect them. There are KZbin videos on that. I fully agree with you on the OEM price. We purchased an OEM ski rack that clamps onto the luggage rack from an online dealer for less than one of these. Good luck!

Woody Lemcke I installed the Chinese knockoffs yesterday on my Honda Civic, the clips did not “SNAPP”, no sound heard even when I forcefully pressed down. The fit was good on all four windows. Wonder if you experienced that with your install.

The front one is a bit tricky I think you need to remove the door panel to remove the molding. I have not tried it tho.

I just did all four and you only have to remove the mirror which is simple. Here's a link to a video showing how to remove it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/fYSZnXisoJuCeK8 I only removed the three 8mm nuts and laid the mirror against the car door with a towel between the two.

i think you can do same procedure because the locking system of the front window weatherstrip is the same with the rear window
