Ranbir kapoor is a phenomenal actor. Watch any of his good movies and you guys will have similar reaction. Next you guys should watch Rockstar, Tamasha or Yeh jawani hai diwani. All of these are of Ranbir and all are equally great.

There was no script actually for this movie initially(mentioned by the lead actor ranbir kapoor) the director used to make up scenes on the sets and also a lot of it was improvised. Also the lead actor ranbir kapoor is not deaf, he is normal, but its his wonderful acting that is so believable that it just blew everybody away. Hands down one of the best movie of Indian cinema.

Funny you should mention the screenplay, the actor who played barfi has mentioned in an interview that the director Anurag Basu actually had no screen play for most of the movie if not all. He said they knew the story but they weren’t given a screen play and the director would improvise scenes..it’s one of the reasons why it turned out so good I guess, but yeah barfi is my favorite movie too!
