Anyways yeah I wish companies like Majesty would just do their job and announce their disbandment and/or at least give out statements, whether it be about the group, fans, or any other things. I feel terrible for the former PD101 trainee and PurpleBeck and Especially poor old Kite. They were supposed to debut a long time ago but it never happened. They were also supposed to be their 1st male group and 1st k band. So much potential ruined. And of course I feel bad for the fans not being given a statement on why they weren’t given everything that they were told they’d receive. Like why lie about that?!

Absolutely. They tried something that wasn’t that popular back then, announcing their debut like that on twitter and interacting with people. But it paid of, since people tuned in to their debut and supported them. I also have all their albums and I am so happy I do! The company was doing amazing when it comes to promoting, as well as they could with what they did but it just went all downhill so fast

I have been a fan of purplebeck since pre-debut. I own all their albums, i bought a ticket to their online concert, I attended as many fan meetings as i could. I've ran a pictures account for them since 2020. I literally named the starry night album. I KNOW purplebeck. i was in multiple group chats with the CEO, including the Kakao chat where he told us Layeon had left the group (he told us not to leak any information and assured us there would be an announcement). I've always been critical of majesty, since their debut I've called out the unprofessionalism which you barely tipped the SURFACE on in this video. this video does a good job. some things I'd like to add: Mini has almost definitely left the group now too, the only reason they haven't said anything is because they're an awful company and because she was featured on Can't Believe. There is no comeback any time soon, they either add new members or disband. There are numerous pieces of content that the CEO promised fans that he never followed up on. Thank you for making this video. If anyone had any questions I'm sure I could answer.

Purplebeck debuted just as I was discovering kpop. They are so talented with such a unique sound that I instantly fell in love with them. Thank you so much for this video! I don't know if reinforcing to the company how much fan support these fantastic ladies have will impel them to support & promote Purplebeck. I've always thought Purplebeck could make a dent in the US charts. I don't know how tightly bound artists are to these companies through these contracts. It's just wrong if a company can tie up talent & then not let that talent perform.

I'm surprised you're making this video! I feel like no one has ever mentioned Purple Beck ever. It's like everyone forgot about them. The only girl groups that did well from the 2019 debuts were Itsy and Everglow. BVNDIT, 3YE, Rocket Punch, Cherry Bullet had much more potential but their companies put them in the basement. Except for 3YE, I think their company really tried.

i remember the excitement during pre-debut times when they would answer my tweets. i remember getting signed albums and photocards, however later on as it seemed as even their own company dropped them, sadly my interest in purplebeck also would drop. i still have one album and probably a photocard from them that i could sell, but you can hardly ever find any fan of them by now. something i also remember is the one member who left even before they debuted, it already was so sad to me. I wished them all the best, that's really upsetting to see how their company did nothing for them.

Thank you for making this video, or just smaller groups in general since many people don’t talk much about them. But yes I’m just disappointed in the company. Purplebeck is and has been my favorite nugu groups, and they had such big potential, with the awards and recognition they got at debut for being a smaller company. The company should just release a statement, it’s not that hard. I don’t get why they would not say anything, it would make things easier to understand and cause less conflict. Well at least recently the only group interaction we got was the members got together to celebrate seyeon’s birthday. Unfortunately mini was not there :(

Honestly I just wish they werent contractually stuck in this company. Btw im Ellen aka the fan who met them irl and spent the day with them in march 2021 iykyk, they're such nice and talented girls and have so much potential and as someone who's been a fan since predebut its very sad to see where things have been going... absolutely nowhere. Even when they were active, there were so many problems. The company doesnt know how to promote them at all and seems so unprofessional overall. The fact that the company can't even be honest about the situation also feels like a slap in the face to the fans, especially when i know some fans in particular have helped ceo so much with decisions, translations and overall advice related to Purplebeck. Its really disheartening to see. I just hope my girls are happy 😔 I didnt even talk about a possible comeback when I met them cause I was too scared that was gonna make them sad or that it would force them into a lie 😭

you are very lucky! the issue with this as well is yes, they are from a smaller company so funds are not the biggest. however if they would have kept up a good media presence and such they could easily ask for help via for example makestar. But fans leave then the group is basically not there anymore. these girls are very talented and it just a shame to see it go down this way

I would just like to add some things: - Yeowool isn't posting on Purplebeck's account anymore either except for her vlog uploads - Layeon is removed from the fancafe - Mini hasn't been active anywhere on sns, fancafe, pb group pictures nor Yeowool's vlogs since her last post in December (not counting the reel/tiktok as all 4 did it before Can't Believe & it could be old) - Yeowool told me on fancafe in the beginning of 2022 she thought they could make a cb this year but since then it seems she doesn't know anymore? UPDATE (nov.) : - Jimin (Layeon) has a youtube channel where she posts vlogs and covers "JIMMNNII RECORD" - Seyeon too : 세니세계 - Yeowool said Mini is on hiatus and the group too

A bit late to the party but figured I would say something- it’s really disappointing to see a lack of transparency with the company. It would be one thing if the company flat out announced Layeon’s departure, but it’s a whole other ball game to beat around the bush. It’s heartbreaking to see posts and tweets on purplebeck’s social medias running thinner as time progresses, and I believe their activities on fan cafe sites have stalled as well. These days, it appears as if the company isn’t doing much to help purplebeck as a group. I hope there can be more music for purplebeck in the future

I was wondering if you were ever going to do a video on these girls - which means I'm aware that something was up with the group for a bit. I was there when they were following people on Twitter and even interacted with a few of the members on their threads. I have their signed albums and even collected a lot of their pcs. I miss this group so much. I was more aware something was going on during the OnStar promo. I was one of the $70 fans so I was lucky enough to get a video and the groupchat. I didn't think much of it, just went along while I was chatting with my member on the weekends (barely awake because it was so early for me due to time zones). I was in Yeowool's chat and it was nice getting to know her and even the other chat goers. She was studying and even graduated during that time, visited her family often, talked to us about horror movies and food, and even asked for songs to cover (which she did do one of the songs). Then around 3 months, we started talking Friday, saying we'll talk with her the next day. Saturday comes and we get the notification that the chat was finished. Sunday we got to say our goodbyes and that was it. They promised to send the pcs - they never came. From that point, I became more aware of how the company wasn't responding much to fans and how we continue to see less of Layeon. I wished in my heart it wasn't true, but the receipts don't lie. I really want a new comeback but all I really want is the best for the girls. You did a wonderful job on the video!

As of 6 months ago of me posting this (currently being April 2024), one of the members said they couldn't reach their CEO and that seems to be the most recent thing I can find about them. As of 2022, Majesty Entertainment, other than PurpleBeck, also has a trainee called Choi (?) Byunghoon and a soloist named Shin Yeji. The latter debuted last year but her debut song only has an audio video, not an MV, and there's little to no info on her beside her NAME. Speaking of Byunghoon, NOTHING is currently known about the company's plans for him. He's wasting his trainee years in that sh*tty company as much as PurpleBeck's and Shin Yeji's careers are being wasted... I feel bad for all of them

To be honest, I don't really think that the company is/was as bad as the fans and this video made it out to be. The complaints were about really small and not so important things. I am not sure if Majesty even manages the official fan club in Japan. My subscription ended without even a reminder to renew it. I only realized it one month after it expired and had to apply for a new one. I also was confused by these paid SNS/board services they were putting their members on where you had to buy credits to interact with them. I was happy to apply for the first service just to express my support to the members, but after a while, when they announced the opening of a second paid service, I kind of gave up.

I was actually part of the 2019 PurpleBeck Doesn’t Exist Conspiracy! They followed my (now defunct) account and my mutuals and we would interact with them via replies and they were in our groupchat. It was called OrbitLand Gays (lol) and it seemed interesting that a legitimate business would let them be in there. We started worrying that PurpleBeck was a scam because the company was being extremely shady since the beginning: their posts were low quality, they seemed to copy the way other kpop idols would post, and they made the members use heavy snow app filters which at the time made us think they were actually committing identity theft and just using pictures from random girls. A mutual mentioned that their “official” pre debut content seemed like it could have been shot on a personal Samsung phone and they were not even verified. We looked up the company headquarters which seemed non existent (but we now know was masked by another business). I (18 at that time) was worried that they were going to scam my younger mutuals and other fans with fake preorder links for an album that didn’t exist/fake merch especially since they were interacting with minors. It’s interesting to see that they did actually scam people for goods that were never delivered and that it happened years later, even with them being a real group.
