I wanna correct the nationality of Sika. She is a Japanese and part of the Japanese trainee team of JYPE before, being the leader. She trained with Japanese TWICE members if my memory serves me.

I also heard/saw before she left JYPE Sika was supposed to be in NiziU. JYPE is also known to help their trainees aka if JYPE doesn’t think the trainee will suit the group or they don’t want to debut them yet they will tell the trainee about a group debuting in another company and ask if they wanna go there/or push them there I don’t know for sure how it goes but apparently it’s very common I’ve heard.

You don't have to believe me, but Sika was my roommate in a singing competition in Beijing, China which lasted a few weeks and she was the sweetest even though I had a very hard time communicating because I can barely speak mandarin. Back then, I didn't know she was a k-pop trainee so seeing this now as a k-pop stan breaks my heart. I hope she's okay wherever she is.

They have also rotated members though and she rightfully pointed out that not all members have ever done music together, so that in and of itself isn't a worry-it's the Sika issue and possibly Chaelin that are the worry.

Back in the day making your own social media was kinda a sign that you left or the group was breaking up. After T-ara lots of companies put a really tight hold on their groups social media presence. Even now it can be iffy, look at Cignature. Both Sunn and YeAh opened Instagram accounts and only after fans demanded to know what was going on did the company finally say they had departed. It's not a sign of doom for established groups to open individual social media (Red Velvet, Apink, Blackpink, etc) but for a Rookie group it can be a yellow flag.

After all has happened I'm surprised that plenty of members are still on the group, I saw the red flags since the debut, as a fan you think things will be good but the pandemic just accelerated the process, I think they deserve so much but at this point a miracle is needed for them to continue.

FANATICS are one of my favorite groups. They captivate me and "Sunday" perfectly painted the sound of long, hazy, warm end-of-summer nights and drives and the excitement of fresh, young love. It was heartbreaking seeing that debut get completely swallowed by fan's attention for Rocket Punch's (whom I also love and need more recognition) and CIX' debuts. And I was stunned when ChiaYi's "Vavi Girl" flips live didn't go viral-I really thought that could be their breakthrough moment to get attention, but nothing happened. Yes, sadly it appears that the ever-professional, constantly consistent Sika is gone and I hope Chaelin isn't also, with her unusual, husky voice (think Hyoyeon of SNSD) and great on-camera expression. I was under the impression that Color Star Technology *had* bought FENT according to kpop sites, but you're right, there is no way to tell for sure, which is one of the frustrating things about their company, whichever one is it. I hope and pray the group can rise, gain traction and recognition and be able to make a decent income from their efforts and the talents they are so blessed to do so well. FANATICS and hwaiting!

There's just so many groups debuting every year that it becomes extremely difficult for idols to gain attention and be successful, no matter how good they are. Unfortunately, if their companies suck at managing and promoting them, they will have little to no chance in having a good idol career. It's just so sad that fanatics is such a good group but their company just seems so bad :((

Before gp999 I was fearing that they would disband, because of the livestream "issues" and also because of the long wait between songs. And then when the 3 girls got announced for gp999 I was scared it was the end, but I was also hopeful that maybe gp999 could be the push that helped them survive and maybe even get past their nugu stage. But they were all elliminated too soon. Rayeon was made to seem like a less talented and less popular Bora (no hate to anyone, I love both Rayeon and Bora a lot). Doah was made to seem like she hated Cai Bing, who was one of the most popular contestantes, and thus fans of Cai Bing was outraged and tried to get her out of the show by voting against her. (What's funny is that I think Mnet tried to do it to build their "push Cai Bing out of the top 9 in the final episode" narrative, and it was actually supposed to make Doah seem better. Though Mnet didn't want her in the final top 9 either. But Cai Bing's elimination was supposed to be the shock value. Doah was just supposed to be eye-candy, and potentially a "worse" version of Jiwon, but I'm not to sure about that last one.) And then lastly, my lovely bias Chia Yi. She was just fully f*ing ignored. Like Chia Yi helped translate and solve the conflict between Cai Bing and Salute team. But if you want to see that you'll have to look at Chia Yi and watch her actions whilst Cai Bing is crying by her side. No text to say it, no zoom in, no nothing. Chia Yi solved the communication issues in the team and Mnet ignored her to build their narative against both Cai Bing, Doah and the other Salute team members. And thus all Fanatics members were no longer a part of gp999. And then I hoped that the company would use the momentum they got from the show to have a comeback. But Chia Yi went to Taiwan (which is nice, but does not make it sound like we are getting a comeback), and THEN Sika fully disappeared. And now here we are. With absolutly nothing from FENT and just the stuff the girls make for us themselves. So I can just hope and beg, but it's not looking great.

I have been following them since Milkshake, and I got there bc of Doah on PD48. I am beyond worried for them, since there is a possibility that they are facing abuse of some kind, or at least used to. I don't see them lasting long since it seems like they have a very unstable company and overall management. I don't want to be pessimistic, but I do think they will disband, and that saddens me because they are super talented and the mismanagement is proving detrimental. I entirely blame the company because I am more worried about their actions.

what you said at the end was especially telling, "every day that goes by they're losing opportunities". i hate to say it, but when a company refuses to properly manage their idols, i think leaving the company or even disbanding can be a better option. i started to think this way after pristin, when we waited for almost a full year of silence before the disbandment announcement. it was a waste of their time and talent. i feel the same way about clc; having been my ult group, seeing them be so mismanaged with their career basically sabotaged by their own company has me praying for a disbandment announcement. i hate to think the same for fanatics; i love these girls and i really hoped things would improve for them after gp999. rayeon especially was incredibly sweet when she answered my comment on one of her lives, so i was so excited when i saw she'd be on the show. sadly it seems like nothing has changed, and with many of them going toward solo activities like sika in china and doa with her youtube channel, i think it would be best for them to seek out better opportunities. probably a controversial opinion, but its how i feel. their ceo honestly scares the h*ll out of me and for the safety of the girls and their careers i hope there are major management changes for them, whether within their company or at another one.

I love their songs so much, Starry Night is one of my favourite songs for sure, the choreography, the talents they have. I hate how they are treated by the company as the vlive just shows how awful group of people the girls have to be around to pursue their career. I will be not surprised if girls try to leave the company, it's absolutely disgusting how they are treated. I want the best for them, so either they gonna try escape or the company changes which I'm not gonna believe. Ps. The audio of the video is great!

Doah got so much attention from GP999 but the company not doing a comeback asap is worrying. They need to be riding the GP999 wave NOW. I got into them thanks to the show and I legit enjoy their songs - although their main title tracks are not the best (which is probably a reason why they haven't gained much attention), all their b sides are AMAZING. I love Milkshake so much! And Starry Night is amazing tooo! I listen to it every day. Luckily Doah has an Etude contract right now, so hopefully that brings them attention too. I really enjoyed Chiayi and Rayeon on GP too. Yeah, even if you don't know the name FANATICS, EVERYONE in Kpop knows about /that/ vlive incident. I hope fans don't give up on Fanatics. I didn't know about them until Starry Night but I really like their past eras as well and hope they can continue with at least some of the lineup. One of my other faves, GIRLKIND, was silent for a really long time but they've been more present since late 2020 and when something, releasing a physical copy of a single, would have been impossible they relied on their fans. Fanatics just has to ask for our help and the company needs to be more honest.

After hearing about how difficult it is to have a idol career in China it confuses me as to why she would willingly go there to try for one. It makes for sense that the company has disbanded the group of maybe disbanded part of the group. Literally the fans of this groups, shared a tweet about the members making their own instagrams, and most of them said that people were jumping to insane conclusions and this was no reason to suspect that the group was disbanding or disbanded. There is no proof that purchase actually happened. And even if it did, a company buying another company doesn’t mean that that. For example when Hybe bought Pledis, pledis didn’t just vanish. Pledis is still a thing, it just works under hybe. Same would have happened if the Chinese actually bought FENT, most likely. The Chinese company would own FENT, but FENT would still be their own company and the girls would still be under that company. But again, I’m not sure that purchase ever happened in the first place

i came into kpop in 2013, and with all that i have witnessed with fledgling management agencies mismanaging their groups (9Muses, Spica, After School, Gfriend, The Legend, Wa$$up, CLC (yea, it's coming), Sonamoo, Chocolat, and so many more....it just simply seems like many kpop agencies just do not know what they are doing....and, yea, i actually liked Fanatics....

It's insane that I've known of the group since the day (or two?) after their debut only because I found Mubeat and used it as my primary way of watching performances. "Follow Me" remains a superior song and I think them amazing for having it on their debut album. FLAVOR's "Milkshake" is still so addicting. I honestly didn't listen much to "Starry Night" because I was indeed disappointed that it wasn't all members, but the chorus lives on in my mind even to this day. You perfectly covered everything about Fanatics. I don't have a name to call myself and neither do the extremely supportive fans and that makes it harder to find fellow stans on Twitter, though maybe not as much as it used to be when the fandom was even smaller. I'm one of the ones who hoped for OT8 and at this point having Chaelin and Yoonhye with the other 5 girls is the best it gets (as they were the ones who were away during Vavi Girl) BUT Chaelin could be gone too? It saddens me. That they have a staff acc just to say they have one and never use it is not okay. None of the company's missteps are okay. Smaller company I understand, but they absolutely should have made announcements for EVERYTHING and yet the only one is the vlive incident because it made headlines. The fact that we can't even have what the girls talked about in those deleted vlives because the filming was gross is upsetting, and no I just want to hear and see the girls' FACES as they talk about stuff that's been going on and all that. I only expect to see legs in a dance practice, because otherwise there's no need. Waiting this long unsure of a full promoted comeback, watching as the time ticks by for this group who should be able to say that they have plenty of stage experience since they're going to celebrate their 3rd year of debut in just 5 months.. The company has wasted enough of their time. Maybe they didn't want to get overshadowed by Kep1er's debut, but I fear at this rate Kep1er will make a comeback before FANATICS does even though they're about to be occupied with filming Queendom season 2. I hope I'm wrong about that AND that the company's name change doesn't end up meaning anything negative or shady for the group. As soon as I learned of their rotating member concept I accepted it, but they seriously haven't even been able to show just a fraction of their potential with their lack of promotions. But at least with what they HAVE been able to show it's proof that they should get more opportunities. If all of the girls had been able to participate on Girls Planet 999 I think it wouldn't be a question of if they get a comeback but WHEN. I think IOK wanted to sign Sohee since she is the most pontentially member out of the group, heck even YG and JYP were absolutely ready to sign her during that time but she went with Hunus because it is the first agency that offer her. IOK might think that hell just bring all the members here maybe because group usually does better than soloist capturing the crowd and also in term of sales unless you are IU. They are also not in the scenario like Gugudan whereby Sejeong and Mina public popularity literally towered way too high compared to the rest of the members are basically unknown. Nonetheless Elris finally will have their comeback, maybe the 131 label from BI (formerly iKON) will get involved for their album. And I also heard that IOK will seek advices from Sowon because the agency only specialized actors in the past not until they open out to investing idols recently, Sowon is a veteran and successful idol in the girl group so it kinda make sense
