Thanks for helping us Californians through this wild sequence of storms, Mr. Snyder, I always feel better knowing what to expect from our crazy climate, to the extent we can. We’re supposed to get a break from more storms for a week or so, it’s very much needed to make roof repairs, do flood cleanup and remove so many downed trees. We’re all grateful for the rain we’ve finally received after decades of drought, but no one wants a storm every day all winter again, as it was in Autumn/Winter 1982/83.

When looking at Accuweather it has 1/28-1/31 showing rain. If you could look into extended forecast for this that would be great! Thank you for your CA forecasts! Had to get rain gutter extenders to keep the water flow moving towards the backyard drains and away from the house. :) Love having a cheaper water bill this month!!

I’m glad the San Joaquin Valley will get some rain, it’s been turning into a desert there. It’s super-important for California (and US) agriculture and sadly, much land has already been taken out of cultivation there. Probably it’s too late for most of that land, but some marginal areas might be recoverable.

I’m seeing lots of videos on tik toks about a BIG storm forming in the Pacific Ocean. They’re saying it’s a possible hurricane. Can you confirm this?

Hurricanes form in the Atlantic. Cyclones form in the Pacific, specifically in the western Pacific (Asia). California is located at the edge of the eastern Pacific. With these atmospheric rivers, California has experienced "cyclonic" wind conditions, with winds as high as 70mph. Here in SoCal, the winds have been much less. Use the Weather Channel (or other weather related channels) for your weather information, not Tik Tok.
