While we await further information, my understanding is that Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) applications submitted after November 1st will be limited to public college students enrolled in fields of study experiencing labor shortages. This may also include students completing their studies in Canada in December. If this is the case, I have no words to explain this brutal move. Changing game rules while the game is on is not just unfair, but also devastating for students who have invested time, money, and effort based on the previous policies.

it means that if your course is not what they want, they will not grant you the work permit.. Canada needs more Nurses, Engineers, Doctors ,specifically high wages job etc.. they don't need vocational courses because those can be filled by a regular Canadians.. way back long time ago.. Students that are coming here are meant to study only, but because of the pandemic, they have given the privilege to work to help them, but since our economy are back on track and its because election they made this changes to please the Canadian people.. I know its frustrating but the recruitment agencies didn't think about it, instead they used it and abused it.

@@Armcraze they didn’t ask to come to boost the economy or to be in competition with domestic students Vs International students. it’s the students’ own decision to get student visa with the agreement to go back after finishing school, but in between someone sponsor for job that’s a bonus. but going to these countries with a mindset to settle there is the problem. everyone know their student visa is non immigrant visa and its sole purpose is for studying and go back and by convincing the foreign country that they have enuf resources to support them and for their studies. the fact that they let non immigrant student visa holders should be considered a bonus, remember indian government can do whatever they want for the better of their country and its citizens, as goes to any other countries

I saw on weekend one guy from South India in Doti in Walmart.
