Major Hydraulic Repairs at The Peterborough Liftlock - by Western Mechanical

The world's highest hydraulic lift lock is located in Peterborough, Ontario, Canada. Built in 1904 this lock is still and important link for boating traffic. However, it needed repairs as major components were starting to wear after 118 years of service. Western Mechanical was contracted by Parks Canada to repair the lock and ensure it's smooth operation for years to come.

Nice project. Western is one of our clients - we’ve done pipe stress analysis work for them on many projects over the years going back to the Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport Pedestrian Tunnel project.
