Why are Matt's videos so good? Because they are not bullshit, faked or blown out of proportion, making stupid mistakes on purpose to upscale the shock factor. This is genuine, mistakes on the fly. Mistakes anybody can make, because the decisions we make are often based on chance and luck. You just never know how much worse a situation can get and this one went from bad to really bad.

Don’t forget the cinematic effects all the outdoor type reality tv shows like to use, the good old dramatic music and then shake the piss out of the camera to make whatever happened look worse. And to show a snippet of that 15 times in the show before it gets to that point. Cue in additional fake crashing sounds effects to boot.

Nice to see some people in Arizona playing in the snow😜.In Canada I have learned how to use momentum rather spinning my tires… and when my 4x4 truck with lockers made it past where anyone should go and you don’t have a winch and just a tow rope I have used what I call Pendulum recovery inorder to get up! I go down inorder to get forward motion with enough speed to get back up once you hit the end of the rope… it really gives you goose bumps! so far has worked for me like a clock Pendulum every time!

I had some sand on hand once with snow shoulders...up to my shoulders. Snow was only about a foot deep where I had plowed the night before. Put on the parking brake slightly to lock the diffs, popped the clutch, and poured sand on whichever tire was spinning. Got it out. 🤣What misery though. Prefer to watch this on the tubes.

Is Pendulum recovery the same thing as rocking the tow vehicle back and forth?
@calebandres6374
@calebandres6374 Жыл бұрын
No the pendulum is in need of a tree that you attach your strap to and use the over the bank as your momentum and once you come to the end of the rope if you are able to go in a circular motion without hitting trees… I have been able to swing back up onto the road.. yes extremely dangerous.. but has worked everytime so far
