yeah i love it too. you can just see him growing and evolving as a young man... great acting by milo. moving through some of his issues, and as he does, he becomes more attractive, another layer of him developing

As awful as Jess was to Rory, couldn’t help but feel so sad for him. He was so unwanted. What a come back though in later seasons. I love that they gave him that and he did it on his own. And Rory, the epitome of privilege and pedestaled her whole life, totally flailed.

i was always happy about that too... he came outta the show with one of the best evolutions of character into a young man. but it's funny, i'm only kinda feeling the pain and heartache of it(for him) on these recent watches. i guess in previous viewings i felt more that i understood where rory was coming from-- having spent time letting it go & unchording from him, but i am sure still hurting to some extent(going thru the pain of heartache sure does take timmme!), not feeling she could trust him or that he was right for her... and i guess i didn't feel much for him cos he was such a jerk to her and some of the lack of communication was unforgivable, even for an "unhappy kid". not like feeling that he deserved it or anything -we all deserve forgiveness and love- but watching it just now, i feel so much more for him and something like 'yeah rory, you coulda given him a chance at that point'. haha, funny how our own feelings change thru a relationship with a show (if you do come back to it over years).... she was single at that time, he was asking her for a chance, showing some sense of having changed and she does now know he loves her (or at least has said so). i would not have quit Yale and run away with him, no no no, but I reckon I would have let him in, if he was willing (while still sticking to my plans and being at college), maybe seen where it went.....

i may get some reactions here (😁) but i'll say what i am thinking at the conclusion of this video anyway-- too bad rory didn't lose her virginity with jess. she came close to it, right. hahaha. jokes kinda on him too, cos if he hadn't let her down in so many ways- or left- she/they probably would have. i do think he treated her lousy many times but they had great chemistry, instant attraction and it woulda been a way better first time scenario than what she did have !

Although I agree with everything Lorelei says about Rory sleeping with Dean, her timing with all of that was terrible… in true Lorelei fashion

I sort of disagree! (although yes Lorelei has a track record for bad timing lol) I think that being firm about the stakes and doing it right then made that one of her best parenting moments. She rarely plays the mom card as she would put it, but she did it in that confrontation. what would you have her do, pretend she didn't see it and then let Rory gush about how "its nice that it happened with someone who is good and kind and loves her?" and then in the morning try to walk it back? nah she had to interrupt right then
