Do you think they'll k*ll off Mando in the movie? And the Tales of series branching out is exactly what I said they should do when the series first aired. Even said they should do Tales of the Sith and Bounty Hunters. Cool to see them know this was a good idea too. Now they only have to do my SW variety series idea which I posted in the comments on your channel before you started talking about it too. Visions can and already is its own What If series in a way. But I would like to see it expand that way as well. The first What If arc I'd do is George's version of the sequels

Kristen if they really want to heal the fandom. And make all three sequel movies matter to those like myself who hate all three of those movies. They should open with rey coming out from a deep force vision. Everything that we saw was a what if due to Luke putting Rey in a deep force trace. How we justify seeing an older rey. Let it be known that she was under Luke training for years. That when the real story will start. No kylo , han or princess Leia no first order all of that was a force vision. Her and Luke are on a Grand adventure. That's how we can give Luke Skywalker a sendoff and death.

Iron man 1 started filming in March of 2007 and it came out in April of 2008 so if anyone can get a good movie into theaters by the end of 2025 it’s Jon Favreau.

Ahasoka and mando season 3 have kind of sullied my interest in those characters. Its also a difficult time period to play in as it is sandwiched between ot and sequels so has a lot of reststrictions on where the plot and characters can go. I also worry that they are trying to create a more connective thread from the ot to the sequels to try and get the sequels to make more sense. But anything sequel related is an immediate turnoff for me

Concerning Filoni and the Old Republic legends stuff, the entire finale of season 2 of Rebels takes place on Malachor (V?) which is directly taken from KotOR 2. I think Filoni is interested in ideas wherever they come from and you may be confusing him with other Star Wars directors who may think things like, "everything since Empre sucks."

People may not want to hear this but with Filoni getting a bigger role in the world of Star Wars as CCO and then them turning this into a movie the future could be bright. I think they need to bring down the amount of television and get casual and hardcore fans back into the headspace of going to the theaters where Star Wars was born in. Television can only take you so far and with what is to come in the future from television we could be seeing that happen. 4 shows in 2024 and then 2025 right now is just Andor Season 2 and then I assume 2026 will be the first movie.

For Tales of the Jedi they could do a similar episode(s) but with Baylan Skoll’s story starting at the Jedi Temple through the Empire to Ahsoka and then finish his intended story on the planet and Morris Gods without recasting in live action. Just find a great voice actor that sounds like Ray. It could be like the book Lost Stars but with a fallen Jedi/Bounty Hunter amidst the original Trilogy time period and events.

Them going back on Din's character development and making him obsessed with putting his helmet back on was such a huge mistake on Filoni and Favreau's part. Pedro's face would've brought in so much more butts to the theater. Same with bringing back Grogu in Boba Fett....if they reunited in this movie people would be so jazzed.

I believe there are a couple possible *2025* dates for 'The Mandalorian & Grogu': ▪︎ May 2 [Fantastic Four moves to June or July 2nd Untitled spot] ▪︎ May 23 [Untitled Disney spot] ▪︎ Thanksgiving [go up against Wicked Part 2 & plays for 3 weeks before Avatar 3] I would just point out that, as of now, August & September 2025 are wide open... and Disney has an Untitled Movie spot August 15th. Then there's not another huge blockbuster until Batman 2 in October.

Loved this conversation. I feel very weird about where Star Wars is at right now. The Skeleton Crew piece at the end I thought spoke volumes because the fact that we haven’t gotten ANYTHING on that series and it was supposed to be out in December of ‘23, I think Lucasfilm is in a place like Mike said where they don’t really have a handle on anything. I get it that the tone of season one will definitely make sense for the movie. However going forward I don’t you can rely on both characters only taking the franchise forward. You can only go so far with two characters. We already know that for Mando season 4 that Din was meant to chase down imperial remnants, this can easily be a film that can lead up to Filoni’s movie.

Skeleton Crew has been one that I've been quietly excited for since the original announcements; I wonder if it'll have that Goosebumps type vibe from the old Galaxy of Fear junior novels from back in the day. I'd hate for it to come out and be really good but get poor numbers due to streaming fatigue and all that. Mike has called it, though, I think the long-prophesied Streaming Wars have come and gone; there's just no money in it if every single studio is constantly cranking out content for their own, individual service. There's been too much 'product' in the last 5-10 years and a lot of resources have gone out the door and now companies are seeing that it's not as profitable as 5 great movies in theaters and 5 great shows on a network. It's sad because it's been great to have room for all this fresh talent in the industry and it seems like we're approaching a big crunch, to some degree or another, which is goin to impact people's livelihoods.

It is the best move Lucasfilm has made in a great while. Great great business move to put the Mando movie first out of the gate, and bump the Rey project a little bit to let it breathe. This will get folks in the seats, build excitement for the next coming films! Plus, this gives Filoni the chance to work with Favreau on an actual live action movie, before he works on his to build experience. Wrap up the Mando stories (at least not going back to the season format) Love it.

I get the feeling that this Mando movie is a move similar to Mangold directing a Boba Fett movie when Solo wasn’t doing well. They announced this to draw attention away from the Rey director bc she was getting attention for the wrong reasons. That said, I’d love to see a Mando movie that takes place entirely on courasant. Take us into the levels of the city and have it be a crime/western movie.

I have no faith in Skeleton Crew. The more juvenile the shows become - Boba Fett, Ahsoka, season 3 of Mando - the less I have enjoyed them. Add actual juveniles to the mix and I am almost sure it won’t like it. If the live action can’t have the maturity and quality of Andor, they just need to be cartoons.

Why is everyone assuming season 4 is getting turned into the movie when we're still getting a season 4? Wouldn't it be easier to start a movie script from scratch as opposed to another season of scripts?

I like James Mangold (although I did NOT like Indy 5) but I really wish that Benioff and Weiss would have gotten their chance to helm the Dawn of the Jedi movie / series. They are fantastic at adapting from novels and not so great when there isn't source material. I think going that far back and doing this "historic biblical" area of Star Wars is critical and needs to be made.

If they delivered something like this, I would totally buy it. Let's think about that episode as a Stand Alone film. It would totally work to setup a new adventure or storyline. What's your opinion?

I am a very novice SW fan. All I've heard since before the sequel trilogy was the need for a Knights of The Old Republic film. At this point, explain to me what a Mando movie would need to be to get people to pay to see it in a movie theater when they are watching a movie budget show on Disney+? It would have to be Game of Thrones level story telling and/or limited theaterical release for this to make sense
