THANK YOU! Omg glad I didn’t have to scroll too far to find someone who agreed 🤣 Dude.. the lil, “AHHhuh!!” bursts of screams when there’s the tiniest little bumps 🤦♀️🙄🤮 100% positive that someone started off the screams/panic and then everyone soon followed. I’ve been on a flight that had to *MAKE AN EMERGENCY LANDING* 🤣🤣🤣 and flights where EVERYONE erupted in a round of applause and cheers the SECOND those plane wheels touched the ground lmaooooooo. Guess how many screams took place on every one of those flights? *ZEROOOOO.* As someone who has _extreme_ anxiety with flying.. I get it. But I’m glad I’ve never been a screamer lol. No matter how scared I am, I’ve never screamed that annoying scream that ladies do. On the emergency landing flight, I was separated from my dad and sister and was sat in the middle seat of two dudes in hijabs.. none of us said a single word to each other and I just sat there SOBBING as quietly as possible for hours 😭 tears just rollinggggg down my face. Those poor guys man lmaoo. I feel so bad that they were stuck next to me and I probably made them so much more scared 😩 I remember peaking over for a split second and one looked utterly terrified 😭😭😭 We all had reasons to be scared tho and not one single scream! If anyone was screaming how they were in this video.. OOOOOO I probably woulda damn near had an actual heart attack 🙃 If you’re ever in very bad turbulence.. just know pretty much the only injuries that happen are because people are out of their seats 💺 or without their seatbelts fastened. The safest thing you can possibly do on an airplane is to listen to the pilot when they say to sit tf down.. keep your seatbelt on and no matter how scared you are.. just try to be mindful/respectful of everyone else around you 🙃 nothing good ever comes of panic

For you nervous flyers put there, these aircraft aren't fragile. They are much tougher than you think they are. These aircraft are designed for the worst case scenario, and this isn't even close to that. Not only that, but the flight computers can give you warnings of harsh conditions well before you come in contact with it. These things can fly with no thrust, the engines can withstand a blade failure at max thrust, hell even if an engine just fell off of the wing it can still fly. In this case, really the only thing you have to do is just keep leveling the aircraft whenever the turbulence forces you to bank or pitch. You just need to bank or pitch the aircraft in the opposite direction. You just keep doing this until you make it through. You get the idea, the aircraft is easily recoverable even in these conditions

Most were just sitting stiff, others holding hands and some teenagers from France even made fun like they were on a rollercoaster. I have flown almost 2 million air miles and I have experienced bird strikes, lightning strikes (2 on the same flight), severe thunderstorms, severe clear air turbulence over the Rockies where I could see straight down to the ground through the window of a 727, severe rolls due to wake vortex/turbulence following a jumbo jet, turbulence where it sounded like someone was repeatedly hitting the plane with a sledgehammer, aborted takeoff's and aborted landings etc; however, my prescription for heavy turbulence is to put in my earbuds and to jam to Kenny Loggins' song Danger Zone from the Top Gun sound track and just pretend I am piloting an F14 tomcat and dodging bogies. A little whiskey doesn't hurt either… Note to self, never fly in Argentina as these screaming bogies would have ruined my Danger Zone jam. The only screaming Maverick had to put up with was from Ice Man. I may have to launch some sidewinder missiles at those screaming bogies :)

Nerdy facts of the day: that wasn't turbulence - nothing was shaking at all. That's called "mountain wave". It's exactly what it sounds like - air going over the mountains forms big waves up and down... planes get caught in the drift. It's unpleasant and will definitely give even a seasoned traveler some nausea. At the same time, it's less hazardous than turbulence, of which there is exactly zero in this video.
