Man this looks so so good. If I wanted to keep the twin turbos instead of big single, what would I do with the airbox? Would DCI’s fit under this manifold or is that just stupid because of IAT? I’m so new to this stuff but super interested in learning.

I have a 2013 BMW 535I XDrive. Would the doc race N54 manifold work on my N55 motor. I know they’re essentially the same motor but the N55 is just a little different.

Hi Everyone can anyone explain the benefits of port injection? Is it to help pump more fuel for better combustion?

Correct but more, necessary for higher power builds, as stock fuel system is insufficient to provide enough fuel for anything above 500ish . So you can double up with port injection

Bit of an emergency, do you know what gauge wire you used? I broke the connector for my crankshaft position sensor

Should think about running a phenolic spacer between the head & plenum so you don’t transfer all the heat from the head to the plenum…🤷🏻‍♂️ Precision Raceworks $150…👌🏻🏁

Where you got the gasket from I’ve a similar build but a 335i and I bought straight from Doc race but it didn’t came with the gasket

I have a question about N55 tuning. Iv done a stage2+ and wanting to know at what horse power is too much before I must upgrade gearbox, clutch, crank shaft, forged internals? I was wondering how i can get the most power gains without having to upgrade some of the more expensive components. I wanted to do a stage 3 turbo and port injection. I havnt done the fuel pumps yet either.. any advice helps

Hey man, jw did you delete the two vacuum canisters? Was thinking about getting the Turner relocate bracket for them but don’t think that would work for that style which I was looking to get in the future :/

Is the extra radiator for oil cooling? Love how the build is coming together

Nope it’s for engine cooling. Just additional cooling to the stock radiator with direct airflow from the bumper inlet

@@ThicWhips I Understand, I have a 135i N55 with a extra oil cooler on that side. For tracks days nurburgring days. So keep the Oil temps also in mind. The mosselman thermostat ONLY is a solution that takes longer to reach 120C, but on full load you still can reach above 120C :)

I’m running the mosselman oil cooler as well as the oil thermostat. Plenty of cooling for a street car. This car won’t see a track so I’m not worried
