@Pull out The lapel, Eddie Bravo got smoked in the next round of the ADCC world championship after submitting Royler Gracie with a Triangle. HE STILL SUBMITTED ROYLER GRACIE. @@maevesaxa7268 yes, a knee injury like this could very easily be a career ender. Listen to the popping just before Roberto screams at 3:47 and watch his knee dislocate.
@Joecool201473 жыл бұрын
Maeve Saxa knee injuries in general tend to take a very long time to heal if they ever do. Partly it’s a combination of how much load goes through the joint during regular activities combined with the fact that most structures inside the joint have very little blood supply. And heel hooks specifically can easily cause damage because there are not really any Muscles that cross the knee that resist rotation, so the torque goes straight into your meniscus and Ligaments.

This happened to me, I’ve been out for about 6 weeks now. I can’t say I’m too excited to keep training with leg attacks anymore. Jiu jitsu is so great for so many people, but leg attacks, as effective as they are at finishing your opponent, has created a worse and more dangerous environment on the mats. Going to sleep is one thing, choosing when to tap is another, but when the knee is bent sideways from that reap, there’s not much time to make a decision.
@stevena33333 жыл бұрын
If you love jiu jitsu and train every day from a young age like Roberto has been. Then a potential career ending injury is much more than a lost match.
@elarmadillo24663 жыл бұрын
Completely agree they are too dangerous, too risky, I'm starting BJJ but it is clear to me I may tap as soon as I get the foot trapped. Scary lock.
