8:55 yes! you can take your sword to the hut in the goron mountains (you'll have to unfreeze it again) to upgrade it once (which is only temporary, it only lasts one cycle), and then use the gold dust you got from winning the goron race to upgrade it again (and permanently). you do need a full 3 day cycle for that, though, so keep that in mind!

Ooh, I made it not twelve hours late! Honestly, Majora's Mask is such a good game. Some tips and tricks. sometimes you have to talk to certain people as certain characters. Though this is already known, you may also have to talk to some people in certain masks. A good rule of thumb. Every mask has a purpose. A mask that makes you stay awake? Seems useless when you never sleep, but it's crucial. And though some just help you out (bunny hood making you fast), there is no mask that is there just because it "looks cool". That's just a good rule of thumb. If there is a character you don't know what to do with, try a mask you don't know the purpose of. It really helps.

After the temple, I'd recommend taking the time to re-explore all the places you've been to try and find everything you missed; _like Mountain Village, for example. _*_wink wink_* _btw, kudos for doing the fortress and pinnacle rock the hard way lol; there's a couple things you haven't discovered that would've made them easier. the stones might know something valuable about that_

When you're fish and walking underwater, you can Z-target an enemy and press B at the same time, and this will activate a magic force. That's how you can easily kill those clams.

The next temple is a huge pain but I enjoyed it a lot. If you want a stronger sword you can actually get the strongest sword by going back to the mountains. You had entered the forge before you beat the snow head temple (you need the mountains to be in spring to do this). You also may need the gold dust for this as well. If you can’t upgrade the sword more than once in a 3 day cycle it will revert back to the original one so beware. Keep up the good work.

Nice, honestly congrats on doing it the hard way, it also happened to me first time I played it, but there's a few tools you could've unlocked that would've made it easier. Now I do advice you on upgrading your sword before you go into the temple, or right after. I won't give you hints on how to do it cause there's some comments that point that out already but here's some things you'll wanna know: -You gotta backtrack -The quest takes the entire 3 day cicle, but in terms of how much time you gotta invest in it, it ain't that much -Minigames are most of the time tied to sidequests, so try to remember a minigame that picked up your attention on the last few episodes or the reward you got from it Hopefully this helps :)

Can confirm, Great Bay is weirdly easier for me than Snowhead Just follow the flow of the water, work your way up (or down, it's been a while), and explore as much as possible before moving on. The only things that actually need to be remembered for progress are the switches for the direction of water flow in the first room you enter

One detail to make the fortress way easier. With the lents of truth you can find at the west path a guard wearing a mask, if you give him a red potion he gives you his mask, the rock mask, which makes you invisible for most people and enemies.

Hey quin I’ve got a tip for you. First make it summer in snowhead by defeating the boss, the relight the smiths’ forge and ask to get your sword upgraded. Then wait a day to get your sword back and then ask them to upgrade it again with the golden dust you get from beating the gorons in the race. This will fully upgrade your sword to never break, do more damage, and will make it look cooler. Be prepared with a whole lot of rupees though it’s kinda expensive.

fun fact, you can backflip onto chests and iirc deku link's character model is smol enough to fit inside of the bigger gold trim chests. i have to say, im digging this playthough. i just found this channel by pure chance, and im having a blast watching you find all the fun little bits and pieces that make majora so great. TOP #TIPS 1. Once you restart your time cycle, go to snowhead / goron village and upgrade your sword, the second upgrade you will need the gold dust from the goron race track 2. In the center room of the Pirates Fortress, there is a soldier with a mask, you can see him with the lens of truth. 3. There is a bottom row of the masks ;)

There's a seahorse somewhere by the entrance area of Great Bay that can give you a prize for defeating all the sea snakes! the seahorse also serves as a guide through the murky waters so you don't have to brute force it (which i'm impressed by, great job! I've only done that in the Randomizer mod LMAO)

to get an upgraded sword u do: Defeat Goht (Snowhead Temple Boss) on the First Day or Night. Win at the Goron Race to acquire Gold Dust. Also on the First Day or Night. Forge your Kokiri Sword into the Razor Sword (Need 100 Rupees). Forge your Razor Sword into the Gilded Sword (Need Gold Dust).( like so quin will see)

If you want a sword upgrade: You can actually get it from the Goron area. Here's how to do it, if I remember correctly: -Beat the Boss -Win the Goron Race, which should earn you some gold dust -Bring the gold dust to the brothers in the forge (the forge should be free of ice because you slapped the boss), I think they should just upgrade your sword but you probably also need some rupees. Make sure to have like a day of time left because the forging takes them a day, I think. God, I love Majora's Mask. It's such a good game.

To upgrade your sword, take your sword to the smithy in the mountains on day 1, after leaving him your sword go to the temple and beat the boss, then beat the goron races for gold dust on day 2, go back to the smithy, he'll give you a tempory upgraded sword, talk to him again, and hell offer to uprgrade your sword once more for the gold dust, give him the dust, then you can just skip to day 3 and pick up a new sword with longer reach and double damage. This upgrade is permanant. note that if you break the first upgrade you have to start the whole process over again on day 1.

You should go back to the Mountain Village and upgrade your sword, you’ll need 100 rupees and the Gold Dust from the Goron race to do it, but it’s definitely worth it. Just be sure to start it on the first day. Also, you can buy a Bomb Bag at the Bomb Shop in Clock Town, and an even bigger one if you save the old lady who gave you the Blast Mask first.
