That was a brilliant restore job.. The one thing I did to my models when I was a kid, (40+ years ago) was to paint the headlights with 'Glow In The Dark' paint. I would love to see some of your models with headlights that glow in the dark, just like the hands on old clocks. :)

This baby turned out awesome! Love the hood decals you made, i may be wrong but the cj's were called Renegade on the hood ,and the later YJ were the Wrangler. Still freaking awesome job.

This may be the biggest disaster that I've seen you start with, and now it looks amazing. My only criticism is that a CJ7 would not have had the center post in the windshield. Not a big deal, just one of those things. Keep up the great work, love your videos!

The wrangler came out in 1987 as a replacement for the c.j.7 aka civilian jeep 7.

Very nice customizing. The rollbars looks awesome, the colore turns out beautiful. The big gap above the rearwheels looks awful. Maybe you can close ththese gap with styrene strips.

Massive improvement!! Looks super!! The only thing i don't care for on this casting (and its a factory issue) is the spare rim...looks silly with just a rim, obviously the tires are way to big to have one attached, but YOUR work, looks awesome!!!

This was actually a CJ5, whereas the CJ7(replaced by the Wrangler in 1987)shared the same body dimensions! Also the CJs nor Wranglers had a center post in the windshield

Windscreen is a tad off - should've trimmed the center post. Roll bar could also do with a seeing to - crooked as a lawyer politician. Nice job on the seats and decals. FYI - Jeep windscreens can be folded flat onto the bonnet/hood.

The rear bar,right side,is a little uneven (sorry).😚 & the centre of the new "windscreen" is a little pointed,unless you intended it that way? But,as usual,DAMN GORGEOUS!!! In addition to Police Cars,I also love Jeeps & 4x4s. How long,on average,does it take you to restore/customize a car? Probably a silly question,but do you put your masterpieces on display?

I know this is a custom, but as someone passionate about the CJ, I have to tell you that your decals are incorrect. The CJ model types were NOT Wranglers. In the late 70s, early 80s the CJs were packaged as a CJ-7 Renegade or the higher end trimmed CJ-7 Laredo. In 1986 Jeep replaced the CJ models with the Wrangler YJ. Amongst other visual differences YJ has a reduced height front grille, square headlights, and a rollbar that connects to the windshield frame. Please reproduce the Renegade decals for this great resto!

The casting is actually a cj5. You can tell by the door opening shape.

Could be, I used the broken pillar to size it but a few mm here and there ... But the whole model is kind of stubby with that huge base on it.
