Yesterday I realized something, some chapters of space marines will practice the arts as well as music. They will undoubtedly learn music from the various worlds they encounter, and it is most likely one of those worlds had a version of rap music. @@PeachDragon_ So did Storm troopers when they weren't fighting Lukes crew, just look at their assault of the Tantive VI, Hoth or the killing of those Jawas which triggered Obiwans response, it was stupid movies like Rogue One (were stormtroopers were getting killed even by blunt weapons in full armor), The show Rebels and that Re-tard Jon Favreau (who made Storm troopers into complete clowns and a nonthreat in the Mandalorian to the point that fight scenes had no suspense whatsoever). This slippery slope really started with Return of the Jedi, the Emperors best legion was supposed to be fighting Wookies on Endor, who are formidable warriors even for Stormtroopers, but Lucas decided to change them to Ewoks to sell toys, which made Stormtroopers look super incompetent (future creators not understanding that the Stormtroopers were missing on purpose on the death star (they put a tracker on the Falcon, wanted them to escape so they can lead the Empire to the rebel base on Yavin VI) and again on Bespin , or that Lucas greed is the reason why the Emperors best legion got beat by stone age teddy bear aliens)

Space marine capabilities Would be nice to know How strong are they how fast they are etc it’s very inconsistent I’m aware that in extreme cases like Storm giants resilience but say dark angels and ultramarines are pretty much the same physically same with the imperial fist but with the lack of Suspended animation and acidic saliva but still how fast how strong should the average space marine be

The marine traits are inconsistent because their various parameters depend heavily on the geneseed templates of their primarchs. The result is that there isn't really a "basic template" to fall back on, as annoying as that can be, since there will be extreme differences such as the Raven Guard being agile and speedy while the Imperial Fists are slow but sturdy.

You cant know them, because like you said theyre very inconsistent from writer to writer, novel to novel. Named Space Marines are always much more capable than nameless ones. I remember in the Space Wolf Omnibus they were described as being nearly faster than humans can see, only appearing as a blur when they fight. This would put them in like 150-200 km/h category atleast, which is a freaking fast sword swing or dodge. An average man can punch (aka accelerate their arm) at around 25 km/h at most, with the same size pro boxers up to 40 km/h. Genetics and size matters a lot here of course, and athleticism, but you get the rough idea. This would give Space Marines inherent advantages in melee combat against everyone except chaos space marines, since none of the other races have melee combatants that are described to be able to move that quickly. Yet nameless marines get slaughtered in melee against the orks for example

What the two above said, but also the lore is canonicly not 100% accurate as stated multiple times by GW. They are filled with propaganda, myth, hyperbole, understatements, and half truths. So if you read about a bog standard marine, even a named one lifting a tank without elaboration on how it's likely the rememberancer is just being a hype man.

Well Cadia was the closet planet to the Eye of Terror so to stop potential Crusades out of the Eye of Terror Cadia was remoddeled into a Fortress Planet. And Yes Terra is the most Planet with the most defensives after Cadia . Terra also has its own Guardsman Rigemnt Called The Luficer Blacks Bassicly the Guardsman version of the Custodes who have better gear the all other Guardsman better Trainig than all other Guardsman . On Terra there are also Several Space Marine Chapters , Custodies, Sisters of Silences and the Officio Assinorum

Know what you're trying to resist makes you more resistant to Chaos? Seems like something the Imperium would want all of its citizens to be able to do... I'm still new to 40k, so maybe there's something I don't know about as to why they don't do that all over.
