I never knew about this wtfffff, I'm going to use this so freaking much now!!! You have no clue how much this changes things for me lol, I'm new to editing and I've been wanting to do little "storybook" animations for soooo long
@StuartHetzlerАй бұрын
you'll also want to be aware of the DVE node. trust me

This is so useful for transferring an After Effects skillset into Fusion. Thank you Casey.

Hi Casey. In my efforts to create 3D in DaVinci Fusion I’ve probably looked at dozens of videos over the last two weeks. I also posted questions in multiple Davinci forums. Some responses and videos were pretty good. Some were too advanced - and some left out some basic but important steps. Your tutorial is perfect. Anyone can easily follow your steps - and move into having fun with Davinci’s 3D and parallax world. Many Thanks! Rowby

I know this from previous tutorials, but I'm using 3d camera very often in work. Great tool. it can present a boring image in a nice way

OMG!!!! I wonder if we can use the new SWITCH node to be able to quickly switch between 3d cameras!!!! I need to test this today!

Nice. At 3.30 you said "you could add some lights... etc" could you please. do or show those examples you have mentioned? Your explanation about the 3 d world was very helpful... I just wish there could also be practical examples....to totally get it. Thank you. Cheers

I've switched from Adobe to Resolve and your videos have been super helpful to get me up to speed on common things I would do all the time in AE, but was a bit confused by the new interface of fusion. 3d comping with camera was one of those things.
@Abdull3h_vfxАй бұрын
well the new Resolve has a surprise for you ! The Scripts are restricted to the Studio version now.
@yo_itsjwАй бұрын
@@Abdull3h_vfx I have the studio version, but haven't messed with scripts yet.

WOW Casey. You just knocked this one out of the park. Thank you. Would this work with video background too? If so, this is a lot easier for film composition than other apps like Unreal. Please do more with this. 👏

I wonder what will be the future of this feature, will Davinci become a animation programm like Moho ? with meshes and bones?

Obvious next subject... 3D camera projection. :) So we can take a painting, build a basic 3D surface and project the painting onto it and have 3D Bob Ross landscapes where we can add in stuff like particles flowing around castle-towers and fun stuff like that. Just a suggestion :)
@zorrothebugАй бұрын
that's some cool stuff! would love to see a tutorial on this.

I switched from Adobe to Davinci resolve and since then I've been in your channel over and over ❤. Can you please do a video for the parallax but with a greenscreen composition? Thank you ❤

Great video as always. I thought I knew all about this, but I watched it anyway. I see now that I don't know where the "camera" is when I don't add a camera. Without specifying a camera, where is the perspective from?
@badGamrАй бұрын
Very nice! How do you add a drop shadow to that?
@jmalmstenАй бұрын
set up a 3D light, connect it to the same 3D merge node and make sure lighting and shadows are on in the 3D nodes. That should give you shadow and light effects. :)
@badGamrАй бұрын
@@jmalmsten I just want the shadow - Can you set an object's properties to create a shadow but not react to a light?
@hendrikwiekenbergАй бұрын
Is that in the studio-version, only? Or also in the free-version of DaVinci Resolve?

you have a video on just navigating around 3d space in those view windows? I'm having a hard time trying to move around to see things.also is there a way to animate a camera movement? not just zoom in or slide, but follow a path that changes?
@garrisonfjordАй бұрын
I'm not sure, but you could probably keyframe camera movement.
@rowbyrowbyАй бұрын
In the Camera3D node there is an option called “Target” I think that will do what you are asking for. I han’t tried it yet - but perhaps Casey can explain it. I think After Effects has a similar “target”feature. …Rowby.

Hi Casey! I switched to Resolve 3y ago and am now determined to do EVERYTHING in Resolve. What I struggle with the most is Motion Graphics. Is there a better way than creating PNG's in another program and import them in Fusion? I feel like a lot of big PNG's make everything so slow. You know, the program that shall not be named has these project files that are really small and vector based that you can use, I would love to have something similar in Fusion!
@StudioMontaYTАй бұрын
Oh and I know you can draw some basic things yourself directly in Fusion, I watched your videos about this, but I feel like that's not always possible. Sometimes I like to download artworks from stock sites for instance

Hey man i was wondering if there’s any way to remove silence from a clip, but keep all sounds, even if it’s not a voice, is this possible in davinci or a plugin or anything

If you don't know Davinci Resolve, this video was over after 9 seconds. Because I don't know how you get your pictures there.I think this is a common problem, because the person who makes the video thinks the viewers know everything.
