Ok, I had to laugh "and just like that"! (Forrest Gump) I LOVE this, it's so bright & fun. I'm actually planning on doing something similar with my 2nd oldest granddaughter for her 1st project. The only difference is, we'll be using charm packs-1 of print & 1 of a variety of solids that match the print. I will have to trim off 1/2" of each of her units to make them 4 1/2" x 4 1/2" but thought that would be an easy one to start her on.

So if we are matching every colored strip with a white background strip, how are there enough background strips left to do the first border? Did I miss something?
@bettymanoulian46453 жыл бұрын
The package of colored strips and the white jelly roll (background fabric) have both have the same amount of strips (usually 40-42) = an even match. Jenny did mention the fabric measurements for the inner and outer borders ( ¾ yd. Inner Border Fabric, 1½ yds. Outer Border Fabric).

@suzanner83603 жыл бұрын
If you have 42” usable length you would get 9 cuts per strip, which she did get nine and talks about that when she is pressing them open. That gives you enough for the extra six blocks but they won’t be matching...she points one out that is blue and green.
