In addition to be very charming and super adorable, I think Jenny's success with tutorials is she embraces her neurodivergence and shares it! She took a lot of the rigid rules of old school quilting and tossed them out the window because certain things "didn't makes sense to (her) brain." She found what worked for her and started sharing it with the world, from mantras to remember certain steps, to admitting she's "angle-ly challenged," to showcasing various tools that again, "make sense to (her) brain." She doesn't shy away from encouraging others to do what makes sense to them and that has opened the door to a multitude of new and talented quilters. Thank you, Jenny!

I am ADHD & I can’t read patterns without becoming frustrated. I can 100% see myself in how Jenny teaches. She makes me feel better about how I understand quilting & angles & I’m very thankful!! Now I can enjoy a really cool hobby, quilting obsession & a bit of fabric hoarding! ;) Also, the layer cakes, jelly rolls & charms are fantastic! (Yeah, I can’t match fabrics either! Lol!) Thanks Jenny & MSQC! 💗

Just 4 of these Hidden Star blocks put together (and put on point if you want) ALSO make a wonderful Medallion if you want that kind of quilt! I have been looking for a medallion pattern that is also dramatic and this one is! Thank you again Jenny! Always fascinated by what you have come up with that is NEW after ALL of your gazillion tutorials! You keep me going and I have too many to do! But, retired so I can have fun!
@HRHDMKYT2 жыл бұрын
That is SUCH a brilliant idea, Airmom! You wouldn’t even need an entire layer cake… just four 10” squares from your stash (which you could get from a 1/2 yard cut if you wanted your centre to be all from the same fabric). Turned on point, it would make a beautiful large centre. Time to get my thinking cap on. Thank you for the inspiration! ~Diana K.

Jenny, thank you so much for sharing this! The "Doans' Girls Retreat"? We need to hear more about the shenanigans the ladies and girls get into! I have recently gone back to some of the original tutorials for design and technique refreshers, and have seen your grandchildren both mentioned or on screen. After 13 years of videos, I realized that some of those "kids" are all grown up! How about bringing them back to do a video of what grandma and/or mom taught them....or how they are involved/not involved in the business! Maybe a few layouts from Ron??? BTW, Jenny you look great! Thank you and your family for all you do. P.S. I am not a real quilter, I just do quilts for charities, ie: childrens' hospitals or first responders. Someday I will do a real quilt!
@dianeholiday68442 жыл бұрын
Victoria, you are a REAL quilter! that's what quilting is all about. it's about giving not keeping. It's been 30 yrs since I took my first quilting class. I have made dozens of quilts, all sizes I have only one of my own creations...that very first wall hanging that I completed in that class. ❤

Hey Jenny, is there any way you or one of the girls could do a video on the quilted shawl (prayer shawl)? I want to make some and other channels tutorials aren’t as clear and easy to understand as yours always are. They have fleece on the inside and patchwork quilted on the outside. Also, wanted to let you know I follow Shalane on Grass Roots Living channel and she always speaks so highly of you and of Hamilton. I would love to come one day to one of your featherweight retreats but so far they’re always full. It’s on my bucket list. 🧵 🪡👩🌾💙 Have a beautiful weekend.
