Make a "Framed Pinwheel" Quilt with Jenny Doan of Missouri Star (Video Tutorial)

Jenny Doan demonstrates how to make a gorgeous Framed Pinwheel quilt using 10 inch squares of precut fabric (layer cakes) and 5 inch squares of precut fabric (charms). For this project, Jenny chose Dreaming of Tuscany 10" Squares by Michael Miller Fabrics for Michael Miller.
Believe it or not, this block is a disappearing nine patch, and it comes together easy-as-pie with half square triangles! This particular layout was designed by V and Co, and it's an absolute dream!

Lovely quilt. Instead of trimming my HSTs, I sewed the pinwheel, then trimmed it to 5”.

I think I will try squaring up the pinwheel blocks before I Iron them open... use a small quarter triangle ruler lining up the bottom along the sew line.

My pinwheels never turn out nice and square so would it work out if you make the pinwheel first and then square it to 5"?
