Oh man, somebody gave this video a 'thumbs down' I swear!! What is wrong people! Who could actually look at that gorgeous quilt and think to themselves 'naaaa' Seriously, go watch something else!

I know! I don’t think I have ever given a video a thumbs down. I just go find something else and don’t finish watching.
@susanpatteson53724 жыл бұрын
Many people see a "thumbs down" but if you compare it to the thumbs up icon, its actually part of the pattern. Reminds me of a mitten with a wrist band. I used to make the same observation. Lol. Stay safe everyone!

Love the final look of this quilt. My first thought is wow, it's a small quilt.(but EZ enough to make bigger). As I watched the video, I thought Wow, sure has a lot of wasted fabric, cutting so much away. After looking at it more and more.. I thought sometimes you just have to let something go to get something great.. (meaning all the wasted fabric) But Being I make dog beds with all my scraps (and donate the beds to the animal shelter). The shelter is going to love me.. because this quilt is something I just love so much, It is my next must do project. THANKS JENNY AND STAFF FOR ANOTHER GREAT QUILT PATTERN. and tutorial.

Trying my hand at the winter star, just watched the video again and got even more information, thanks Jenny! I want the patch work look and realized half had to have the dark square of the four patch in the corner with the second half with the WHITE square in the corner. So glad I reviewed. Practice makes perfect.

@HRHDMKYT4 жыл бұрын
That is a spectacular pattern! I’m thinking using the tri-recs ruler set to make the “star legs” units will make them consistent, take the guess-work out of exactly where to place those background rectangles, and make each block perfectly symmetrical. It may also save on fabric. But even if winging it this way as shown in the tutorial, if using a white/light background, trimming the backs of those points will prevent the colour/print from showing through the background. Thanks fir another great tutorial, Jenny & MSQC Team!! ~Diana K.

Well, that's what I get for waiting. I love the pattern, and the fabric choices. I can think of some other color pallets that this pattern would look amazing in, like autumn colors. I tried to resist the temptation. It didn't work. But, by the time I cam back, you sold out of the Winter Frost Batiks Stacks. I suppose I could buy yardage, and/or explore other fabric choices. I bought the pattern, border fabric, and some Kona cotton squares. I added the Winter Frost Batiks Stacks to my wish list so I'll get notified when they're back in stock.
