I made this quilt. I got tired of marking the dots for cutting. In measuring, I quickly noticed that the two inch mark was exactly 1.5 inches from center. I used my , Stripology Ruler XL and made my cuts an inch and a half from center used a rotating mat, turned and did the other points as well. Perfect cuts every time. I did make a slightly larger seam than a quarter inch. When I went to trim to 8 inch square, I was short and using the Stripology Ruler XL and I trimmed to 7.5 inch square. Saved lots of time with the Stripology Ruler XL. I did put a piece of double sided picture framing tape (has foam in middle) for my rail guide for the perfect quarter inch seam. I found that I was not into a multi color quilt. Next time I will make as a two color quilt or at least the same color way. It's a very pretty design. Hope my tips will make for a faster project. Happy quilting!

Finally I found the block that I was looking for!..had to go through all of Jenny's videos. Have lots of 10 x 10 scraps from other projects, so I am going to start this one at Christmas break. I have to make a quilt for granddaughter and hubby. I also work part time driving a 72 passenger school bus.

I love it when Jenny does tutorials and lets you know that not all blocks are "perfect" and that's okay...She's an amazing teacher. Her kids must have learned so much from her & Ron.....They all seem like such an amazing family.

I love your tutorials. 💛 I started quilting one year ago. And i am looking at the near side of 70. I have 16 grandchildren and 9 greats. So you can imagine I am not hurting for projects. You have taught me so much. We retired down to Florida 6 years ago abd I may be the only one that doesnt have a tan!!!!😄😉😂 I spend most of my time in my sewing room. 💜 We are from Missouri and will have to make plans to visit your shop. Thank you for sharing your awesome gift and passion for quilting. 👍😁

Glad I read this twice. I thought you'd made almost 70 quilts in one year. I was thinking you must be a MAD seamstress with your machine/s. Congrats on learning to quilt, I am learning, too, and congrats on all of your children, grands, and greats. Happy quilting!

Wow! I am seeing so many secondary patterns emerge! Across a row I see overlapping white and colored zigzags. Over the whole quilt I see white and colored overlapping latttices. I also see alternating colored and white X'S. I also see alternating white squares and colored squares. I see half-X'S along the 4 sides. I see cute little bowties. It is amazing how many secondary patterns this simple disappearing 4-patch block makes. It is mind boggling!
