You guys can call these things what you want but I've been around for a longer years than you all have and their tassels you all want to put fancy tassels on your bike you can name them whatever you want but they were sold in the 70s as tassels and all the girls had them on their bikes.

There is a difference between a tassle and get bk whip. Completely different. Tassles hang from a graduation hat. Regardless what difference does it make on the name. You can call it a do-hickie and it still will have the same meaning. Point of the video was to teach “Bikers” how to make “Get bk whips” cuz it’s used for that reason. Not for decoration smh

Fabulous ! I have the dreaded question; I know that these are illegal in California, and are considered "sling shot weapons". Do you happen to know which states forbid hanging this "weapon" from our bike ? Also, its important to NOT usurp "colors" of local clubs in your area, nor in areas where you might be traveling. @KOKO-uu7yd , checkout the local biker bars, HD dealerships; find the local clubs, and talk to them. Meet them honestly, and check it out. You can find out who is dominant in your community, etc. It's not really that hard. Be careful about trying to be something you're not. Everybody is a tough guy until they meet one. Don't be wearing somebody's patches nor colors; be smart. marcus

You might have to up it to 6 strands instead of 4, but the same concepts could be used. Alternatively, you could melt the ends of two colors together at the beginning.

How do you manage all the extra feet of paracord laying at your feet while you are doing this? I am having the hardest time keeping it from tangling and messing up the step im working on at that moment.

It can be a struggle sometimes for sure. When working with extremely long ends, it sometimes helps to tie them into little hanks to make them shorter.

I plait bullwhips and it can drive you mad. Just keep in mind. The further you get into plaiting or braiding the shorter the strand become.focus on keeping you pattern tight and uniform. If you do that, the extra length won't bother you as much. Good luck!!

Good question! We can see how that transition could be a little jarring. We just tightened the knot off-camera and cut to the next step. As Luke says in the video, you'll want to tighten your knot a bit (but not all the way) until it looks like it does at 4:40.

Attaching a key ring should be no problem, but a key ring would not have the ability to stay clipped to a motorcycle. If you are adapting this to a different use, then that might work.

Most paracord knotting actually uses knots that have been around for hundreds of years. In their day, they were essential to many people's livelihoods. But bored? Perhaps. What else is there to do in the 1500's when you're stuck on a sailing vessel in the middle of the ocean with no wind? ;)
