I finished one up today. It’s gonna be a dream journal. I used a cheap graph paper notebook. I started one for my music theory class. It turned out pretty good. I used your idea for using scraps that are long and you add a collage and a focal point. I added ribbon at the top and inserted the in my pockets. I also used old greeting cards attached to their envelopes and made a really long centerfold.

Personally I don't enjoy using magazine pages, because the print comes off and the paper is so flimsy. I love book pages, and not just "vintage". Oooh that's lovely, I didn't know that Gayle had mentioned me 🤓👍 that's fantastic! Great question re the mica.... Some does rub off, some sticks. The paper type has an effect, some "grabs and holds" better than others. Cheap hairspray is my friend if I really need it to stay put! The density of powder in the water is another variable. I do like that left top leading to bottom right 🦋 Oh indeed, that tag is a great foculoint especially how you placed everything. Great cover. Something I've never remotely thought of!! Very Happy papers. I've gotten to use at least one to two children's pages. Colors are fabulous. Oh dear I see so many possibilities with the florals. The most important advice I've gotten from your journals, use different sizes placed in all sorts of ways I the journal. My days, Joie,Yes you have hit the lottery with your middle page.. yes just like wrapping Christmas's packages I do not move , but my ball of string tape and scissors walk away with each package

I genuinely laughed out loud when you used the tiny yellow ruler as a bone folder! I have the EXACT one too (this years xmas crackers!!) and use it all the time as it fits in my pencil case so it’s never lost.... where as my two bone folders like to wander around! Loved this beginners guide. Can you maybe do some painting classes? I love your art work and am trying to get better when I’m well enough. I’m going to make a confession.....
