I’m so excited for this class! I already baked my cakes, made a double batch of SMBC and a fresh batch of gum paste. Maybe I jumped the gun, but my new KitchenAid arrived on Monday so I had to make sure it was in perfect working condition, lol!

@@FinespunCakes I actually got the professional 600 series 6 quart mixer. It’s a larger capacity than my mother’s 35 year old KitchenAid! It goes to show how long these machines last! It’s almost as old as me, haha! The color is called Silk Pink. It’s a light pink color that is a semi matte finish. I didn’t know they made this model in this color! It’s a refurbished model. I’m so happy with my KitchenAid pasta roller attachment which is refurbished (which I use for my gum paste 😉) that I was confident in purchasing this stand mixer refurbished as well! I will be posting pictures as we go in the group so you probably will see it there, lol!

@@lisaanderson135 They really do last! My 10yr old one is still going strong, could probably use a bit of maintenance though lol. I have a 7qt and I bought an 8qt bowl which works for it, if you need larger capacity you might be able to find larger bowls for the 6qt too :). Colour sounds beautiful! Can't wait to see the new mixer and your work, of course!
