OK I am giving you a C+, since this was 5 years ago I would assume the build and finish will be much improved.

Hmmm... It just occurred to me that if you mount the lid to the underside of something--a shelf, a workbench, etc.--then the box becomes a drawer! (If you standardize the sizes, then you can attach a row of lids to the bottom of your workbench surface and then, when you are working on a particular project, you can just grab the drawers containing what you need from a storage area and slide them into place at your workbench. Everything you need will be right at hand, but out of the way. You could also have larger 'drawers' that bridge two--or more--lids.) Does that make sense?

I highly suggest using a riving knife on your table saw. You are asking for kickback. ouch

Nice box. Your rip cut on the mitre saw at 1:02 made me cringe a bit though. That cut is generally a no no.
@jharmondesign6 жыл бұрын
fak892 interesting, I personally have had that cut go bad on a table saw, being that it was wider than it was long. But looking back I at least should have used the hold to secure the board and not my fingers. Thanks for the concern!
@fak8926 жыл бұрын
That would help. I think the cross cut blade makes it dangerous since it's more likely to grab the piece and fling it up.
