I've been looking for a software that could take different midi files & put them all in the same key, similar to how samplab (desktop version) does with audio. Is that something that could be possible in the future with samplab?

its technically possible but it currently doesnt align with our goals to make working with samples easier and more creative so it probably will take a while until the two of us will find the time to implement functions like these but we are always happy to hear ideas how to make samplab better, so thanks alot!

just use your daw to convert midi to audio > export that to samplab then convert audio to midi again in your daw.

I'm using Cubase and saw that it was available as a plugin but when I go to find it it doesn't show up. I only have the desktop app. Anyway to locate the DLL file so I can move it to the right folder?

The plugin is only available as VST3 because Steinberg discontinued the VST2 standard and we're not able to get a licence for it (so no dll file). You can find the .vst3 plugin file on Windows in the "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\" directory. This is where DAWs typically expect the VST3 plugins though.

Cannot be drop to the pugin in Studio One 5.5. Does not work in the free version and standanone as well.

If I understand correctly it does not work to pull audio from the DAW and drop it into Samplab? Does it make an audio file if you drag the audio from your daw to your desktop? if not, the DAW is not actually giving us access to the audio

​@@samplab From Studio One inpassible drop or import audio file to Samplab only from an external folder. But importing a ready-made midi is generally not possible either from the standelon or from the plugin. What will be your options? Have you tried Samplab with Studio One 5.5?

@@zengo2922 -Beacuse of the change of focus some Studio One versions have a weird behaviour not allowing Midi drops from the VST Plugin directly. one workaround is to press ALT-TAB twice during the drag -The Samplab desktop app only exports audio, we have not implemented a Midi output there -Dragging audio from Studio one does not work since Studio One has not implemented it -Dragging Midi into any Samplab application does not work and is not inteded to work hope that helps:)

that's coming really soon! at the moment it's only possible in the VST Plugin

no worries@gareeb it's possible now! just hold ctrl (or comman on mac) while dragging to your daw and it will export it as midi instead of audio. might be that you have to restart Samplab first, so that it can update the new functionality :)

Bro... Your desktop app does not even show the piano roll anymore....i have Uninstalled and reinstalled twice to make sure I got the latest installer. Same goes for the plugin version. The midi output file that gets dragged into the DAW is blank. And why shouldn't it be? The piano roll data isn't there either! It felt like I got conned into expecting something amazing that wasn't even there in the first place. What a joke.

@@thepauloapo yes the separation of the notes takes place on our servers because it is quite a heavy computation. But after that, your sample is available offline on your computer and immediately deleted again on our side

quality of altered audio is not melodyne quality
