Some really awesome tips Luke. It took me a little bit to recognize that I needed to keep gear minimal when shooting solo. That meant ditching the gimbal unless absolutely necessary, or possibly going with a smaller gimbal.

I think a 2-3 person crew is best!! a main director/dp other 2 maybe 1st ac and gaffer or sound guy. That works best in my opinion

Not for narrative (I know narrative is just not talked about on YT) if you're making a dramatic film and directing...hiring a DP is paramount
